Thanks for your comment and for following along. I still use the little MFJ almost every day for CW with an attic dipole. I get out very well on the eastern half of the US and up to Canada pretty easy. West Coast somewhat spotty but on occassion I can get as far as UT.
I passed by technician test today, at hamcom and since it was the arrl national convention I was able to use tge callsign W1AW portable 5 to make my first QSO there were control operators present so I wAs legal I should get my call by Wednesday. 73 and hope to talk to you some time
Congratulations on getting your ticket. This is a great hobby where you learn something new every day. Hopefully we will get a chance for a QSO soon.

Come on back down here to Biloxi. Those condos behind you by IHOP start out at about 55 grand and I hear they allow antennas hihi.

While Biloxi is a great place to visit, I’ll leave those hurricanes to you good folks, ;-) However, a condo on the beach for 55K doesn’t sound bad.

I love the 9420. I use it /p with a dipole in a tree (no tuner needed). It works great.
BTW: I am from the Coast. I know exactly where you are!
