@coolkid7500 Only problem I had with Vista was it didn't work with my Wireless card (Safecom SWLPT-54108) so I just upgraded to Windows 7.

no. unless you upgrade your hardware, ultimates uses more resources than basic.

hey i have xp sp3 and i put in the windows vista premium recovery disc in and it never reads it. i put the cd-rom first on the boot menu and it still does read it. wat do i have to do?

It asks me to put in a activation key. Can I put in a vista home basic upgrade key? Or do I have to buy the other oem version?

No if you upgrade from xp to vista you keep your files BUT if you choose clean install it will delete all your files

hey, as danielmm88 said, no it wont delete ur old programs and files, but some OTHER programs (as Microsoft said) might not work,,cuz not ALL programs right now are vista ready,.,...

the Vista Upgrade Advisor might help detect those incompatible programs that can cause problems...

Vista will not work unless you have a Activation Crack Installed....it will make your copy of vista activated....
