I'm 13 and i dicovered reminton steele on DVD and online. I love it and it's amaing. Why are t.v shows not as good as this anymore! it's been driving me insane cos i've seen all the episodes but some of mine are missing bits so i was wondering if anyone knew what episode is at 0:33 . please tell me .
I loved this show back in the early 2000's. I watched reruns on the PAX network. Of course I'm young. I was born when this show was still airing. I loved their relationship, there was so much hot sexual tension between them. But I was never attracted to Pierce Brosnan, it was always Laura's loveliness that I noticed. Total queer here. :)
Laura is and was amazing. That's what made the show. I'm in love with Remington but I want to BE Laura. I think a lot of women feel that way and why it is unique in TV history.
Whats amazing is SIR Roger Moore was a big fan of this show, and wanted Pierce to be Simon Templar in the new Saint TV show that Roger was trying to produce but never panned out.....THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME!
This show always amazed me mainly because Laura and Steele kissed in the third episode. Nowadays, you have to wait YEARS for anything to develop. This is how a romantic pairing should be handled. They managed to make it work, while occasionally tossing the fans a bone. This will always be one of my favorite television shows.
E.X.A.C.T.L.Y!!!!!! Why does Hollywood have such a limited imagination when it comes to relationships? They kissed all the time. Of course, the show did end because after season 4 it was like... uh...? Who's buying this? If they would have let them get married and opened that whole can of tension filled worms, who knows how long it would have gone on? Sigh.
@rjanefio Oh I know! Such a shame. I didn't hate the last season as much as some people but I wasn't thrilled with it, either. I thought it was hilarious they had to get married but I understand that most people wanted them to get married on other terms. I would have liked that too but Bonds of Steele seemed the sort of thing that would happen on this show. I didn't like that Steele didn't trust her enough to ask her in the first place, instead of using Clarissa, though.
Actually, Robert Butler came up with the essential iea for Remington Steele long before Sydney Sheeldon developed Hart To Hart. He pitched the idea to ABC in 1968, but the network didn't think the public would be a female running her own detective agency and the idea was shelved for almost 15 year - until he dusted it off and pitched to NBC with Stephanie Zimbalist in the lead.

This show was essentially a knock-off of Heart to Heart, which was a knock-off of The Thin Man series with William Powell and Myrna Loy, based on the Raymond Chandler novel.
yeah that was one where some rich guy was bored so he set up a fake case for them and he was mad so he hit the wall then they realized the village was a fake season 3 episode 8
Thank goodness they always tried to give Laura a 40's look... makes the hair and clothing a lot less ridiculous to watch now than a lot of other 80's shows!

Hart to Hart with Robert Wagner and Stefanie Powers was my favorite 80's show, followed closely by Remington Steele.
