Hey guys...The BEST cheesteak in Philadelphia is a place called John's Roast Pork on the corner of Snyder and Waccacoe in South Philly near the waterfront. It's been in the same little shack for 80 years...same Italian family...the best cheese from the best Italian deli in Philly and the best Sarcone's SEEDED rolls from a great Italian bakery in the city. Even the Inquirer did a huge cheesteak search 6 or 7 years ago and Pats and Genos were like 25th!..John's Roast Pork is unbeatable. Trust me.
never been to pats or jims. When i first moved to philly i just asked someone where to get a cheesesteak and he pointed me over to jim's on south street. The steaks are so good there i never even bothered to try pats or ginos. I will some day though... some day...
Do you know what sucks more than Philly sports? Philly Cheesesteaks! They taste like a hot turd!
Pittsburgh has REAL sandwiches. We're got the best cheesesteaks at Uncle Sams. We've got that authentic yinzer sandwhich at Primanti Bros. and we've got the world famous Roethlisburger sandwhich that thing kicks some ass kneegrow!
yeah i am i lived there for 16 years and moved to the surburs i have never heard of anybody have hot sauce on a cheesesteak maybe mayo and mushrooms but not hot sauce that would just ruin it but that is just one persons opinion everybody has there own taste right lol

thank u but u cant go outside the philly area or the cheesesteak will suck lol
jimmymac16 4 years ago
very true. even suburbs surrounding philly steaks start to loose quality. theryre still good but they dont touch a genuine cheese steak.
you hear people say "oh phill's steaks are the best!" then you take em to philly and all the sudden phill's kind of sucks
