@23431769 You should have some idea what you're talking about before you post. Most of these "oops" moments were actually demonstrations of some mighty fine flying.
Remember, most of these planes are built and flown by your average "hobbyist". These people in general lack training in full scale airframes and power plants, and approach this as a past-time. Crashing IS an option for them, and their approach to building and flying proves that point. I just bought a used 89" P-47 and I had to tear the entire plane apart and re-build it to make it structurally and mechanically sound. And yes, the pneumatic retract lines were leaking air...
tell ya what, if I landed a dead stick with no gear and it went as well as that last one i'd be proud. after watching this I dunno if I'd ever want to fly anything with retracts, they seem to be a common point of failure :-P
@TheKeyWestian It's a model of the Fw190, a German warplane. That hardly makes him an idiot. Are you a history revisionist? Do you think, like in Orwell's 1984, that if you erase all record of the past, history will no longer exist?
@TheKeyWestian Now I'm curious. How is the swastika so offensive to you that it must be stricken from use? Everybody knows what it represents, but it's a part of real history. It's a beautiful model, and the swastika belongs right where it is. I can't believe I'm spending any more time on this. Over and out.
I will NEVER understand why pilots don't think to shut off the engine when the gear obviously isn't coming down. At the very least you might save a prop, and you surely will keep your engine from sudden shutdown.
First thing i would say is shallow up. yes war birds require a little more speed to land but seriously, shallow your approach and land on the fricken smooth grass,
2nd thing i would say is if you are flying of pavement, put some wheel brakes on them.
Please, Please, Please. Next time you put a clip together, do not "replay" so often, or at all. I'm quit capable of rewinding if I would like, youtube makes that pretty simple.
@2k1Nate Well i'm glad he put the clips together with the replays as i'm an idle cunt it saves me from clicking the mouse. RCUNIVERSE please do all your video's this way to piss this youtube troller !
You fly to fly, not to wreck them. Wrecks are however, part of it. I've been flying 23 years and if you approach the building and flying methodically just as you would full scale aviation, wrecks are few and far between. Something you would not do in full scale is go out and fly a P-51 if the only thing you've flown is a Cessna 152. Although they are unbelieveable builders, these guys are flying models way beyond their abilities. No fancy maneuvers here, they're just landing or taking off. Jeez!
I've flown RC for 25 years and it always amazes me that the best builders are the worst pilots- there are certain notable exceptions. Guys who fly kit-built, or custom designs, quick and patchy airplanes can fly the best. The smart builders who know their flying limitations almost always ask the best pilots at the flield to fly their babies.
A lot of these so called pilots stop flying as soon as the planes touch down, it is as though they do not realize they still have full controland can drive the planes using the rudder.
amazing......some simply don't know how to fly! Too fast, too slow, stalling, poorly set up control surface movements all means they are behind the 8ball from takeoff! They can build to perfection but that's where it ends!
Ive seen better landings from amateur's at local flying clubs then these guys!...You can build all the fancy and exotic models you want but it means shit if you cant land the thing!!
Oh I know all about weight. You have no idea who you are typing too. I have plenty of giant scale planes well over 40lbs along with many real planes and more than 20,000 hours in just RC. Still the fact remains that there are lot of pilots who just dont know how or what really makes a plane fly. 40lbs or 100lbs should not be a problem when you think of how many tons fly in airliners. This video simply has caught on film "pilot errors"
@hydrojet7x70 im talking about landing dead stick genous you lose to much air speed you stall and hit the ground that is plane error and I know exactly who im talking too.
@RCboy221 ok.. I am just going to stop arguing with you. I see you are one of those kinds. I would try to enplane more but you just cant fix stupid! Keep flying because I never get to see crashes when I fly. I have to look up vids that you post! :)

@RCboy221 Actually I do know. I have been flying for 22 years and like looking at aircraft videos. I could out fly all those guys with one hand! So my statement remains the same. Pilot Error!
@hydrojet7x70 I been flying for 7 years. have WON 7 New York imac tournaments and currently fly a 88in extreme flight edge 540 and a 110 in carf models p 47! So my statement remains. Shut Up!
@RCboy221 dude... i am correct get over it. i dont think you flew every craft in this video. my point is correct and simply there are a lot of pilot error in this video. bouncing on landings, stalling feet above the runway, tip stalling, not staying lined up down the center line of the runway, missing the runway all together, and more. yes there were "some saves" but most of the crashes could have been avoided. "pilot error" so if you competed against these guys your win is kinda lame.
