@maidenkid84 I respectfully diagree. Though I like Hank Sherman and Mercyful Fate, Michael Romeo has total mastery over the guitar. Symphony X has way more complex chord progressions and a lot of variety in scales and what not.

Out of all the Metal albums I loaned my friends, this is the one I never got back. Figures. At least I had a short retreat from hearing Slipknot every time I rode in the car with one of them.
I just want to say that every1 that likes this band should also check out a band called Dreamscape.. they are a band from Germany that plays progressive metal.. Really cool! i will upload the first song today.. Check it out!

I'm a big fan of anything progressive and melodic, so bands like Symphony X, Dream Theater, Dreamscape, Dali's Dilemma, and anything in the same genre are what I look for.
Reminds of KathSkoping or downlooking...The beat and tones drums are transfixed.

If you are looking for more bands i would like to suggest a gr8 progressive metal band called "Haken"... They just blew my mind!
Though i've moved on to a bit more heavier type of music (like "Djent" or heavy metal), I still love everything thats progressive :)
