yeah so the kensington lock is the one that goes on the side to lock it to a desk or something.. the space for it is to the left of the super drive..

it is not the magnets keeping it closed

Kensington lock is what you tie it to the wall/radiator/post so it doesnt get nicked, the magnetic lock to close the lid is known as the magnetic lock to close the lid ;)

@peterphilhower I find mac has really good editing software and sound software like garage band, I think it is better for people who make videos, music, or photos. I think PC Is great for business gaming, and anything else pretty much.

I would say Windows is good for gaming period. Mac is great for everything else.

i would prefer a pc. but the macbook pro 15 is a great laptop. i think its a good balance between performance and size. i would only go for the base 15 inch. more than 1699 and i can get a much better laptop with better everything for anything over that price.

@TheXeno2000 thats very true, pcs are better for games for the most part, mainly because of compatibility, hopefully in not to long macs will be just as good for gaming :)

@Vaboyk Out of HP and Dell I would Choose HP Ive had 3 HP's and been pretty happy with them all. the only downside to hp is that they have a little bloatware, but you can just delete it. For cheap HP's IT depends how low your talking, Walmart has one for about $400, My parents got that laptop and its pretty good but If you wanna spend a little more, then try Future Shop.

We love you Delsin! Welcome to the Mac side of life. And you edited that video in iMovie 09! Does life get any better? Actually your point about the number keypad - they turn laptops into lapbricks. So no - we don't want those at all. I've not heard the speakers on the newer MBP's but I have a MacBook 2007 model and it's not good sound but fine for watching a DVD in bed sorta thing.

@MarkPMus Hey thanks, and Yeah I agree with you but for the odd person who does want the num pad, then they also probably dont mind less portability. BUt agreed for the average user its no big deal.

And I love the editing software on mac, thats the main reason I switched over :) tryed my friends out and got hooked. :)

The magnetic lock isn't called a Kensington lock. The small port on the Left side of the MacBook is the slot to insert a Kensington Lock which attached to a desk/table.
