  • The first hour and 20 minutes are not so scary ..The end is the creepy part >.<

(I also got creeped by the bag lol)

  • Watched it, not scary. If you're gonna watch the movie with the expectation of "scary", then your gonna be bored throughout most of the first half of the movie. The build-up was too slow and the end was nothing but 10 min of torture, It'll make you cringe for that moment, but it doesn't get me like how the Grudge and Ring has.

  • @dranna619

Have you watched the movie? Is the movie scry? :o

  • It's not scary at all:) well I don't think so

  • Is the trailer scary? Because I'm scared of watching it.

So before I watch I'll wait for a response.

  • this is my favorite asian horror film of all time

  • i've heard great things about this movie and was planning on watching it soon, but after seeing this trailer it just looks hostel. Is it an actual good horror movie? or just another gross torture movie?

  • @specialkid2021 don't judge a movie by its trailer.

  • A good movie but i really didn't find it to be all that disturbing myself. Creepy maybe but not exactly terrifying.

  • @TheAltair4

The torture scene i thought was flinch inducing, i squirmed in my chair when i saw that scene. But it's a good psychological thriller in the tradition of Misery or Funny Games

  • Brilliant shocker, made me disturbed when i first saw this after some of the good reviews i read back in 2002 and really kicked me in the nuts mainly in the uncut version in 2005.

  • rob zombie said this is the scariest movie he's ever seen.

  • good horror i hope, Asian Horror always sick. just watched paranormal activity and for me, it should be a normal activity.

  • @hansensalad

PA sucks, go watch Cannibal Holocaust instead which was THE movie that has been ripped off many times since 1980 and created the POV lost footage horror genre but be warned, it's not for the PC

  • The movie itself is not THAT horrific. Except the end.

But the horror is the dream i had about it the night after watching it

  • What a lot of people don't realize is that this is based on an actual thing. Japanese woman do this kind of thing all of the time. It's where the expression "In the bag" originally comes from. Back during WW2 soldiers would get really drunk and end up inside of some Japanese woman's canvas bag. That's how the saying got started. Also they love to try and feed you vomit like you were a baby bird, they get off on it big time. So just keep your wits about you if you go drinking in Japan.

  • this movie is so well made, so nasty, so unbearable, and disgustingly creepy. A true horror film in my opinion. it's just flat out sick, and that's exactly how horror movies should be. Takashi Miike did a great job.

  • What do ya'll think about Antichrist?

  • Japanese horror is so much better then American horror, for its more psychological and will actually scare you. American horror now days is just slashers. Who's gonna die next

  • your high..... japanese movies suck...they should stick to there cartoons

  • The French are quite good too. Oh yeah, and I absolutely love this movie.

  • I don't think it's nationality that makes a person better at their craft, but it's Japanese horror movies that get remade into American ones. I've seen a list of at least 100 movies and those were only the well known ones. Generally the remakes lack a more tasteful understanding of cinematography in both mood and pacing. BTW I'm American. I'm sure there are a few American movies here and there that outshine Japan, but in general Japan is an island. Isolating yourself screws with your head ;)

  • Watch Jangan Pandang Belakang (2007)...a horror movie from Malaysia

  • This shit was lame. Nothing beats American horror, if you don't believe me then check out Nicole337 right here on youtube..

  • @NadineLovesTravel American horror? Lol. Japan is where it's at bro, and I'm neither Japanese or North American.

  • @RayKalmNiam Dude, check out Nichole337 here on youtube! Thats REAL horror..America is the beeeezneeezzz!

  • @RayKalmNiam I'm American, but when it comes to horror I don't have a bias towards America's films...the French know how to do it.

  • @bussyahead09 French and Japanese horror films are so much more visually disturbing than American. This is just my opinion. For an excellent French film that is my favorite - see "Frontier(s)" You will not be disappointed. Let me know what you think!

  • @marissajrod That movie was absolutely stunning! The part when she screams up at the sky... that gives me chills just thinking about it.

  • the background music is so creepy omg

  • Ghost!!Bitches!!

  • Gee I don't think I want to watch it anymore

  • b*tches be crazy.

  • One of the Worst Movies ever made, not scary at all and it was extremely boring.

  • this was one messed up movie. i did cry at the end. it must be horrible to have to live alone :(

  • @Viercess no its not so horrible living alone its the best, you dont have to worry about people bothering the hell out of you

  • @muffintop333 yeah this is torture porn not horror. idk what american horror movies you watched but there are a ton better than this shit

  • @TheFlash0555

and would you consider Fight Club to be "Macho Porn" like Roger Ebert described in his review?

  • @Johnlindsey289 no but I don't consider mutilating people actually scary. its all shock value and no substance. maybe you shouldn't try to compare Fight Club (a well written, well acted, and well directed movie) to Auditon (a movie with an incoherent plot, piss poor directing and laughable acting) the only reason I could see people liking this is if they are an extreme masochist in which case you have much bigger issues than a crappy taste in movies.

  • @TheFlash0555

But is Fight Club "Macho Porn"?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Fight Club isn't just fighting. I don't know if you have seen the movie or not but after the first 30-40 minutes there isn't really any fighting. The movie really doesn't have anything to do with fighting it's was just a segway into something greater. So no it isn't "macho porn". Your inane comments show your complete lack of any critical thinking skills even on such a simple subject as this.

  • @Johnlindsey289 see you just keep repeating yourself even though I answered you. grow up you cock sucking little faggot.

  • man im only 11 and i saw this movie it BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF AMERICAN HORROR MOVIES still i have seen better but this is in like my top 15 :D

  • WTF O.O...this movie more fucked up than our american horrors...QUICK SOMEONE GRAB WES CRAVEN! XDD

  • Western horror films are shit compared to this!

  • WTF, Ryu MURAKAMI wrote 'Audition'... how the hell could they get the author's name mixed up?!?!?!

  • that sound when the bag moves is so bad ass

  • Is this scary because it's brutal and violent? Horror genre got really messed up after they went towards the hack and slash theme.

  • @antripod123 yeah mate i want horror not shitty hack and slash

  • @antripod123 oh friend. it has definitely nothing to do wie hack and slash, you're gonna realize if you watch it. i would say... the film's back-stabbing.

  • @antripod123 Some people like movies where people get brutally murdered/tortured. I refuse to waste my time on a movie where no one gets killed.

  • I seriously cannot get through this movie...way too disturbing

  • ...O_O......*gags*

  • i lol'd at "prepared to feel creepy"

  • One of the best horror movies ever made!

  • Kiri kiri kiri kiri

  • 141414 Views xd

  • nothing's scary about blood unless you've seen childbirth

  • Fucking overrated movie. NOT SCARY at all! Doesn't even come close to Ringu. Only the last 10min of the movie are "disturbing" as the pussies here say it.(I would say its gore, not scary).

I don't care how well it is directed, about its depth and all that bullshit. Its supposed to be a horror movie(that's how it is depicted in the trailer as well) and its NOT SCARY AT ALL.

  • @Nowayout4ever No one here thinks your tough, or ever will, so drop the act.

  • @Anonx78345 Have you even seen the movie??? What part of it was "scary"? If you mean the "gore" part was scary, then go watch Martyr(french movie), you'll shit in your pants.

  • @Nowayout4ever It's not supposed to be scary until the last 10 minutes anyway. Thats why that moment is one of the scariest moments ever! If it isnt scary, that doesnt mean that the movie isnt good. It is one of the best movies ever!

  • swag

  • I saw this movie. It's really disturbing. Only Japan can come up with a movie like this. So should you watch it? Yes, it'll make you loose any innocence and let you grow up in an instant.

  • Thumbs up if your here from My chemical romance

  • @TwistedVampireRobot Fuck you

  • @JumpingTomato ....no.

  • Anyone know where I can watch this movie online? Download is fine.

  • Japanese people absolutely know how to make someone shit its pants

  • Japanese people know how to make a good scary movie.

  • Now, this is a real horror movie, not one of those wannabe bullshit flicks that come out of Hollywood.

  • Great movie. Deeper........deeper.

  • Great movie but Battle Royale beats it. However this is a close close second for best japanese film

  • whatch the video of "my chemical romance" of" honey the mirror isnt big enough for both of us", is similar to this movie lol :)

  • @sexysalvatorexoxo It's based on the movie... Of course it'd be "similar." It's the same...

  • OMG! The vomit scene from this movie STILL haunts me!

  • @shadow101679 I didn't even watch that scene, I read about it. And I'm sorry, but I think that's twisted. I like Japanese horror films but this one is kinda sick IMO, I can understand the negative backlash that this film got =(

  • Comment removed

  • lov the explosive music part where can i find that music? It kinda sounds like the last temptation of christ but faster.

  • Takahashi Miike is a visual genius!

  • not so scary than the other thai and jap movies ;/

  • FUCK THIS,

If I can't watch the trailer then i'm fuckeddd.

  • This movie is just disturbing...but bloody awesome. This movie is as gory as high tension.

  • takashi miike, quentin tarantino, and robert rodriguez are my favorite directors. and they make the best movies ever

  • ahh im so scared of my piano right now HAHAH but can anyone explain to me the end? when she was saying that stuff whilst lying on the floor, oh and what was she feeding to the guy in the bag?

  • @twilight4125 she was feeding the guy vomit, which made me puke as well (almost)

  • @Arsenal02071 thanks LOL i just finished eating and now i feel like puking

  • @twilight4125 lol sorry just answering

  • @twilight4125 Her vomit.

  • This movie is not all that by a long shot and people are overating this movie by far! It is not nearly as good or scary as A Tale of Two Sisters

  • @rayrayivy

tale of two sisters made more sense to me and it was beautiful

however this movie was insane in its own way

  • @coralin378 tale of two sisters is a pyschological movie.

  • this movie made me feel bad for american horror movies! it took horror to the next level completely!

  • @FionaBelli67 Old American horror films just try to be good cinematic piece with thrills and scares that would pump up the adredaline but not scar you.. Modern american horrors are just crappy remake.

  • The ending was strangely...sweet?

  • wow!!

  • beautifully creepy

better than most horror movies nowadays

  • tiri tiri

  • Japan makes some crazy movies O_O

  • @goe5 Crazy porn too.

  • @goe5 Hah, that they do, my friend.

  • @goe5 actually i believe this is a korean film

  • @thewyndian Takashi Miike??? Does that sound Korean to you? LOL it's Japanese man, trust me. I'm Japanese I know the fucking difference

  • @goe5 ahh, i see, for some reason I was told this was by the same maker as "Ichi the Killer" which is korean, didn't even bother to notice the end saying "Japanese 5.1 dolby surround sound" (slaps forehead)

  • @thewyndian really? Cause Ichi the Killer is a fact Japanese movie. Unless the maker just happens to be Korean

  • @goe5 .........................WHATT. I always thought Ichi was the same maker as "Oldboy" which i know is korean. gah, i gotta get my asians fixed up

  • @goe5 Listen, you need to understand that to everybody but you guys it totally the same thing, literally no difference. It's not really racist, it's just that like, it's definitely the same thing.

  • @Volcanic9 Please do not imply that all Americans are similarly ignorant. As an American who loves films from both countries, I find this view a bit insulting. However, I don't mean to attack with this comment, as many have been raised with this simple "us and them" mentality.

  • @snowfoxk Well sir I'm sorry to inform you but you are a weeaboo, and therefore no longer an actual American. And I'll have you know that us Americans are a brilliantly diverse nation of many cultures, who all just happen to share the common view that Japan, Korea, and China are basically the same thing. Disposably large population, wonderful skill in arts and crafts, and with a penchant for uniforms and drawing themselves as pale Aryan angels.

  • @snowfoxk Don't commit suicide yet though, as of course we do recognize the obvious differences. For instance, Japan loves robots, cars, and little business suits, while China is the one that builds everything out of paper and traces of lead. Korea of course, loves marching. Past these facts however, even the most intellectually-aware Americans regard the nations as one.

  • eh i saw this movie wasnt scary at all

  • @diablo9317 ...i don't think the movie was intended to be scary....more rich in atmosphere and mainly shock value...Most american horror movies don't scare me, the only thing they are able to really do is startle me...and there is a difference between the two.

  • @METALMULISHACO most american "horror" relies on bloody, violent scenes that actually have a quite low value as to real "scary" moments, by which I mean moments that you can't get out of your head and make you feel afraid again when you think of them. japanese horror features fear on a more psychological level, thus making it all the more scarier.

Well, that's my opinion at least :P

  • @JibunRashisa best comment ever

  • @METALMULISHACO that is because you don't know what atmosphere is...go watch tale of two sisters you scrub. This movie owns american horror when it comes to atmosphere. American horror = startle.

  • @METALMULISHACO yeah that's because your mom's face beat Japanese horror by a long shot

  • @METALMULISHACO Tell that to John McCain.

  • that film scared the living day lights out of me!

  • i was only like 8 years of age when my perants bought the dvd :/ fucked me head

  • Rob zombie said that this film disturbed him and that guy is nuts!

  • ööllxxxxxxxkkjmmkuj

  • ööllxxxxxxxkkjmmkuj

  • It was eerie but not that scary. I liked the concept. :)

  • DAYUM.

  • ThnXXX 4uploading! Wishing you a wonderful 2010!

  • Can anyone one tell me what the adult content in this movie is? I don't want to watch it if it shows more then just the usual asian horrors.

  • The usual asian horrors?

Dude, this is ten thousand levels above Phone and Dark Water okay.

  • @Feisurin

it's a R 17 :P try to read , so yeah basic some nude sceens of the girl , no porn :P

it's more a triller but worth watching

  • Yeah, it was worth watching. I liked it and it didn't show too much although the flopping tongue was different. 8P

  • What makes it even more terrifying is the female actress is a method actor, meaning some of the things she's doing, she's doing them for real!!!

  • is the movie in english??

  • Japanese.

  • does any1 no the other horror films this film maker has made

  • They are not horror, but great movies:

    Itchi The Killer

    Rainy Dog

    Shinjuku Triad Society

    Ley Lines

    Gozu

  • Battle Royal 1+2

    i think as well

  • oh haha, I came here to see what this movie was about and then realized that I'd already seen it a while ago! This actually is a good movie, and I'm not really impressed by Japanese "horror/suspense" movies.

  • why the hell is in all these asian horror films so much... horror???

  • well, they are horror. and they're very good at making it :D but their dramas and comedies and great too.

  • can anyone give me a brief description about this movie and is it a gory movie like tokyo gore police?

  • A man wishes to find a new wife so he and a friend set up an audition for young women who believe they are trying out for a part in a movie.

It is not gory, just very frightening.

  • This was such a great movie. It was brilliant! It hard for me to cringe during a movie...and this i cringed and got scared. I say it's a must watch

  • I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE

  • I saw the movie yesterday, it was good but I don't understand one thing. The man had a nightmare where he saw things of the past from that women, but what he saw, was it real? Like the man with no tongue and fingers, did she really tortured him ?

  • Yes she did tourture him.

  • where did u watch at????

  • @PsYchoPinaR is does not rly come out if she does; when he woke up in the end he wasn't harmed at all, and she was lying next to him in the bed.

  • Ow okey, I understand, thx.

@ Punkgothprincess1 My friend gave me this movie

  • @PsYchoPinaR i still don't understand. the torture scene was when he was dreaming.

everything was fine when he woke up. It has to be just a dream, right?

but that scene where he calls her and she picks up and she smiles and the bag moves, that was real or a dream?

  • oh my.

  • this film is so disturbing yet brilliant....i nearly friggin passed out during the eye scene

  • Comment removed

  • The gore wasn't actually that bad, but it was still damn disturbing I couldn't look.

  • what's the name of this song , the music ? plz i searched in the comments but i didn't know it maybe it's written but i can't find it

so plz let me know its name ????????????

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE, even though it has been known to make full grown men cry and/or puke. I am a 15 year old girl and I've seen this movie 2 or 3 times, ahh it's just so great. One of the best horror films out there. I'm gonna watch it again! It is so extremely confusing though, you're always left thinking you missed something.

P.S. I do recommend watching it with a friend, haha

  • Ure sick... watching such thing :P lol... i really love this movie too.. even makes me scared at the end.. now im afraid of strange women.. ha ha ha ha

What i said to you.. is a joke ;)

  • what is it about?

  • how can u watch it?? i dont mind the gore but it is so goddamed confuzzing!! who was the guy in the bag y was she hurting him and wtf was with the disabled guy!!!!!

  • The guy in the brulap bag was the record producer Asami used to work for. Remember in the beginning of the movie when Yoshikawa told Aoyama that her record producer went missing for a year ?

  • It's supposed to be offsetting. Pay attention, because they don't explain to your face and piece the clues together for you..... The guy in the bag was her ex boyfriend who it turns out was married, and the crippled guy raped her when she was a child.

  • I almost shat myself when that bag moved! I kept asking myself, "What's in the bag? What's in the bag?" Then, "OH SWEET JESUS THE BAG MOVED!"

  • wait till you see what's in the bag! haha

    so messed up...

  • I am just as terrified as I am curious to find out...

  • watta body

  • how scary is it? can i watch it alone?

  • it's pretty disturbing, that torture scene in it made alot of people walk out when it debuted even some went to the hospital :p

  • omfg wtf u serious..I so wana see this movie
