All the sled makers are going with some different looking sleds except polaris until the new rush. I guess i still have to get used to some of the new looks ha.

@cfire600 in both cases you are comparing to completely different sleds. phazer is only 80 hp on a good day and a zr500 is around 100hp. and a crossfire depending on the year is any where from 150hp to 160hp. and a nytro is only 130hp. if you are wanting a fair comparison you should look at what happen when a nytro goes against a 600 cc sled of any make. even though the nytro will have 5 - 10 hp on a newer 600cc they are still a heavier sled and when compairing power to wieght the 600cc wins

Did they have a zr or zrt? My old sx only had studs, transfer rods and a can. The ZR would take me down low but I could take him on top end. Maybe it was just the riders. My buddy with the 800 doesn't ride to hard, but he did say he had her pinned. So who knows.

it was a zr 800 cross country, and my buddy had it set up good, he'd take most guys at any point, but close races he would always win on the top end, sounds like you had your zxr done up right, but like you say i dont know if your buddy knew how to handle it properly lol

How do you figure? Do you know what parallax is?  The F7 isn't owning anything off the line. Pause the video at 0.06 and you will see that they are dead even. If anything the Nytro may be a little ahead.

Yeah I agree I have a 2008 Yamaha Nytro with a 1.5 inch paddle track it beats everything I raced so far, f7, f8, attack, 900 switchback until 600 feet after that they start going by me. Thats why I'm looking at Team Industries Roller clutch conversion for the Nytro, but $725.00 is it worth it?

I know some guys who drive ski-doo and cats , they are goiing to yamaha and the fx nytro. i'm thinking about switching to 4-stroke. i am getting so sick of the 2-stroke acrtic cats. all and all it is just a bad engine design. dont get me wrong, they are a great sled and have lots of power but i want to ride snowmobiles, not fix them every other day. i really like the nytro but am not sure if i want to spend that much. how are yamaha's clutches? Do you have to do a lot of work on the nytros? what are things to look out for?

Ok well with the Nytro youll never have any engine problems or anything else. Only thing you MIGHT wanna do is swap the skiis or just get better runners on em. The nytro in my own experience is as fast as any other 800 class sled and after break in theyre known to hit about 142 horses. BUT the torque it makes in UN FUCKIN REAL. In my opinion after being on all makes and models of sleds for the past few years, the nytro is the best in every damn category hands down. Stock it goes about 100 mph

Wrong F7 dyno specs posted by snowgoer magazine of a stock 04 F7 hit 144.2hp and as far as i am aware i have never heard of any year F7 dyno'd under 140hp but the 04 is the only one i have actually seen the numbers on and the numbers in american snowmobiler have the nytro at 138.6, they compare it to 600 calss because the 700's have died out as of late and the 800's are 150 hp but this is exactly what they should be compared to in my book, great race
