Grimmjow, Ulquiorra, two best Espada hands down, but why did Ulqui get a memorable end and not Grimm? @zoezoewriter there is a large populous that believes grim is still alive for several reasons (one being that he is kubo's remake of akutabi gamma his first publish manga main character). i personally believe that if he is still alive, kubo will bring him in later as an ally to ichigo (kinda like kenpachi in that he just wants to fight ichi). if not, then kubo has stated that he feels that he didn't give the death scenes of several espada enough credit and will make up for that.

I found Grimmjow the most compelling of the Arrancars.

His attitude towards strength and winning were identical to Ichigo's. But where they differ is Ichigo uses his strength to protect, and Grimmjow uses his to become the strongest.

Perhaps in another life they could've been friendly rivals as opposed to mortal enemies.

There was never any confirmation that Grimmjow died. If I do recall correctly, after he was slashed in the neck by Nnoitra, and was on the ground, he was protected by Ichigo, and looked on (in shock) as Ichigo began to fight Nnoitra. After that, we never saw him, but that does not mean, in any way, that he is dead. I believe he and Nel, and quite possibly Yammy are still alive, though I don't particularly care for Yammy. Anyway, we have reason to be optimistic! :D!~

as per page 1 a few valid reasons why Ulqiorra woulda win 1. Ulqiorra has two ressurecion forms, and has extremely fast regeneration and states his is the fastest amongst the espada and 2 grimmjow is in technical terms a frenzied barbarian he hits things headon rather than keeping a level head in battle ulqiorra would use that to his advantage.
