Did anybody actually listen to this song? After about the first minute and a half, Lee can't stay on key. He gets worse as it goes on. Just listen to the duet parts, it's harsh on the ears. You can tell from the beginning Lee's voice is very nice, but he loses his way as the song progresses. I felt bad for both Groban and Lee -- Lee must have realized it and been trying to hard on stage, his heart sinking as he realized he wasn't on par. He'll be fine in the future, but this was rough.

oh man I totally disagree. I think Josh Groban's voice is SOO much sexier. Its like a hot knife melting butter! Breathiness is caused by letting too much air past your vocal chords, I don't think its all that sexy, its poor vocal technique. But thats just me.

I don't find Josh Groban's voice sexy at all. He has a great voice, but there's no warmth/texture to it. When you compare the two voices in this duet, Lee does have a warmth to his voice and it's very expressive. When he sings the line "I am strong when I am on your shoulders..." I get goosebumps!

To be honest, I couldn't care less about the 'technical' side of the singing, as long as I like the end result - and I like the end result that Lee produces! It's distinctive and powerful!

Josh has an amazing voice and his voice is right for this song. Lee has a different voice to Josh's and did extremely well. I think Lee's voice obviously is for musical theatre but Josh's is different and is better singing songs like "You raise me up" because he does it beautifully.

Saying Josh is so much better just isn't true! Lee is having to taylor his voice to JG's interpretation. So Lee is very much singing within himself as support here. And as such he did very well indeed. I think JG is great, but he does go nasal, and he does pull very unattractive faces! It is interesting also that he was threatened enough to need to wear 1 1/2" shoe lifts. He has said he would like to move into musical theatre, but I suspect he will lose out to Lee in that arena.

Well, I DO have to give Lee a little credit. His voice got more of an operatic ring to it, than Josh's (even though, as the little grobanite I am, I still love the latter more). It's a little á la José Cura or perhaps David or Sebastien from Il Divo. But it's obvious that he's not used to performing in public. He swallows the first and last word in each line he sings.

No it was called 'Any Dream Will Do' televised here in the UK.Andrew LLoyd Webber and a panel of judges put through a selection auditionees for the lead in a remake of 'Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat'and once through to the televised rounds ALW and the public whittled it down to the winner Lee Mead.They had a previous show last year to choose a lead for the remake of 'Sound of Music'
