its not increasing from the normal size. When you look at the spiral and then at him his head minimizes on the first second. The next dew seconds the head is going to normal size. This hapens because you see the spiral decreasing size in the middle so that when you look at him it minimizes rapidly and then it looks like its increasing in size. :D

I didn't get any effect at all :( I think I was looking at his head more than the swirl.

@usadan It worked for me. You gotta stay focus on the center of the swirl from the time it starts spinning till he asks you to look at his nose, not the face.

its truly an optical illusion, your eyes and brain get used to seeing the swirls "shrink" so they compensate so the wheel stays the same size, but when you look away, your eyes and brain are still in compensating mode.
