  • Can this kraut PLEASE learn to speak English?!

  • @xCARSARESEXY How well do you speak German, jackass?

  • @123torrent Your profile pic is GROSS

  • Love their German accent

  • Hey guys,

I will try my best to be nice here. What proof do you have that Karl is not BS'ing? I do not hear the genius in his solo music, he does not speak like an intelligent person. Even Ralf himself indicated that he is full of it.

So please elaborate and let's be nice. Thanks.

  • @cgbaroudi And you, what proof do you have that Karl is not the genius of the music? You know the music really? And now elaborate this please!.What he says about the Beatles is true and intelligent.I'ts my opinion .Sorry guys for my bad english because i'm a french person who loves M.r Karl Bartos very much.Thanks.

  • I love the way he speaks perfect English and you hear his native German language. Mr. Bartos if your are reading this post more pics on your webpage. A loyal female fan. :)

  • His ability to express himself in a foreign language puts us English to shame. He sounds like a really nice guy.Ralf is such a cold fish.

  • All those Dinosaur awesomness from 70's have shadow members... but they are important anyway...

JohnPaul jones from Ledzepplein per example was constantly shadowed by Page/Plant yet is actually the most talented member...

Bartos was simply part of the legend along the others, and has his glorious moments and contribution.

  • This man is a genius. Listen through the Kraftwerk-Discography and read the credits. You will find out, that some of the coolest songs were written by Karl Bartos!

If you listen to his later works, you'll see, that the melodies and electronic style was the same, that was used-to-be the typical "Kraftwerk-sound", which they're lacking since his departure

  • What a lovely, interesting man, as is Wolfgang Flur (if interviews are anything to go by). I like what I've heard of his solo stuff too:-)

  • The man's a genius.

    Friendchip.

  • love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like what he said about chords and melodies and their effects on people; Plato noticed it a long time ago and he couldn't explain it either!

  • I enjoyed listening to Karl Bartos talk and like the intelligence he shows about making music. I also like how he interviews in person and does not hide behind a robot. The same with Wolfgang Flur, he is in person interviewing and shows another likable character with knowledge of what he's talking about. Karl and Wolfgang are in reality what made Kraftwerk, and now that they are independent musicians will go far in their careers.

  • The Keith Richards of electro pop

  • wow... intelligent guy!

  • after listening to wolfgangs yamo and ralfs kw, its obvious who was the real brains behind krafwerks greatest moments, ladies and gentlemen i give you mr karl bartos ..........................

  • a real genius to me. the alma-mater at Kraftwerk's greatest years.

  • Without Bartos, Kraftwerk could not have been that great.

"My advise would be: copy." Interesting... Kraftwerk, Jarre, or the others have never copied, but probably inspired by other composers.

  • Hes cool, hes 57 and hes still making techno i wish my dad did that

  • Electric Cafè was saved by François Kevorkian. The Techno Pop suite is one of the best things Kraftwerk ever did just because of the amazing mix.

  • Wise man indeed, and he seems very down to earth and sympathetic! And yes he has definitly played a big role i Kraftwerk - probably much bigger than Mr. Hütter would admit to!

  • I think I am realizing more and more how Karl Bartos was the secret weapon of Kraftwerk. I wonder if he will ever get his due.

  • @SirHatchporch Yes I am thinking the same thing.

  • We are better because of you.

  • Mister Bartos, You are absolutely correct about frequencys, accords and melody.

  • you mean 'chords'...

  • Yes, i mean chords. Chord=accord.

  • he looks like a priest right here..;-) he's a smart man , like every Kraftwerks are...

  • How dare you? IDIOT! At the and, mainly Karl had the leading ideas. He said, he left, because the guys had lost the track of creativity, and you can even hear Karls' stile on the album "Electric café". Karl also had lot of leading ideas as well. I say you shut up! Karl is awesom in his own way. It is obviously not Kraftwerk anymore, but it is still good.

  • I have to agree with you kraftwerkification (luv the screen name!!!) anyways, from what i've read & yes i did read for myself, that mr. bartos left because of creative differences. it's a good thing he did becuz we would not have 15 min of fame, reality & some of the others. yes, mr bartos should sound like mr. bartos NOT anyone else. mr bartos stay true to yourself. many hugs all. :) *virtual kiss on the jaw to mr. bartos from a female fan 4 luck* :)

  • Yep! His stile is obviously not the same as Kraftwerk, but he is unique in his own way, and if you listen to Electric café, it really reminds the stile of the single Bartos. That was, because in this album his activity was dominating. Bartos is one of my favourite Kraftwerk members, and he is also origin of Hungarian (I'm native Hungarian), that's why I stood out for him against "cgbaroudi".

  • You are a moron. How can anyone post uch a hateful comment?! Electric café was basicly saved by Karl. It was no awful, but different. Why do you think they sing "Music non stop" at every concert of them as the last song? But all right! You don't have to like Karl if you don't want. But he was good. Actually he helped a lot in making The man-machine and Computerworld. More, than Florian at some cases. Suck on it!

  • "A melody makes no sense. We experience a wonder. Physical frequencies turn into a feeling. Nobody knows how it happens."

I find this a very deeply compelling statement. It reminds me of one made by another brilliant mind of a differing profession, Dennis Prager, who said...

    "Music is God's drug."

(by that, not "for God" but "from God for humanity's joy")

He also said, there is nothing that can change the mood of a person faster than music.

    Thank you, Mr. Bartos.

  • mr. bartos you are so knowledgable. thanks for sharing what you know with us and being an inspiration to all of us to follow our dreams. May I add or ask, why did you not model? :) you are incredible handsome!!! don't forget talented, good luck in all of your endeavours.

  • totally agree karl....

music has a wonderful power ,we dont fully understand...

how melodies trigger emotions ?facinates me ,always.....
