I've been thinking along these lines myself for some time, really interesting to hear about it from someone who's done the science. It makes sense, just take a look at the differences between modern human societies - the more caring and equal a society is, the stronger and more resilient it tends to be. Kind of nice to think that the prime urge behind our success as a species is looking out for each other.
