You all make me proud to be a Washingtonian and an American youth today. Thank you. You are all leaders. You are leading by example. Props. Now, I hope you continue the fight- continue to spread awareness, stand up for what you believe in, and STICK TOGETHER.
I am sure you already know about this, but just to get it out there and pass it on:
Friday, December 7 one of the students at Foster High School in Tukwila, WA involved in Foster Student Action was given 9 days suspension supposedly for "having an Ipod out in class." However, the REAL reason she was suspended was because she and other Foster Student Action activists dared to collect petition signatures at lunch period the day before requesting that teachers who allowed the Nov. 16th antiwar student walkout to happen get to keep their jobs.
SOLIDARITY PEOPLE. Stick together- let people know what you believe in, where you stand, and who you are. Stand up for yourselves and each other. I hope theres a great turnout at the meeting this Tuesday.
Solidarity from Souhtern California! I read about this school and I got email from them after I asked them what the fuck they think they're doing out there. The school's demands and actions are FASCIST in scope, Republican in ideology. The school supports, applauds, and defends this regime's war crime atrocities and treason -- at least the school's unamerican actions state as much.
Leaders By Example Now this type of action is how to stop a war You kids are light in a very dark tunnel I support you all I have a web-page dedicate to your movement Google "Joe Anybody Tukwila Six" to see it Keep Up The Anti War Message In solidarity from Portland Ore ~ joe anybody
Y'all rock! I've contacted the principal and superintendent telling them to lay off. They tried to do this cracking down on free speech shit at my high school too in winter '04 and we showed them who was boss. Keep fighting the good fight!

So much for youth apathy. When you cut the future and don't let it vote you awaken a sleeping giant.

In April of 2007, I started a chapter of this same group, yawr, at my school. It is great to see other people working toward the same goal.
