question, how do you get that load into the kiln without burning your hands?

@EupFilmStudent2012 If I am loading into a hot kiln I have a leather welders glove and 18" tweezers.

I fume once in a great while. I don't have a very good ventilation system so I limit fuming. You are right, a front loader is much preferable over a top loader.
