Unfortunately for me as a non-white Canadian, I was never hugged by ANY Korean women when I was in South Korea. I believe they are shy or maybe afraid of me. I don't know, but they are weird Koreans, unless I'm mistaken. Please correct and prove me wrong. Thank you.

@greatguy200 well i think it's the culture. It's the same in other asian countries as well. People are a lot more reserved about physical contact (especially with the opposite sex) and usually only hug their close friends. It's rare even in a lot of families to show a lot of affection. Sometimes I wish it wasn't like this and everyone was more open but it takes time for things like that to happen when being reserved is the norm.
