lol ya halloween deff schooled you there. yea nintendo started off with slim like any other system. but after about a year they had games UP THE ASS. and the year after that GAMES UP UP UP UP! the ass. nintendo is prob the top consule today to have the most games ever to be on it till its expiriration. seriously jus look at the list on gamefaqs or wikipedia or whatever site you like most. like avgn said.. nintendo FUCKIN RULED THE WORLD. lol
YES! I love this commercial. The Original Nintendo Entertainment System is my favorite video game system of all time. It was out in 1985, when I was born. I still have it today, and I'm keeping it forever. NINTENDO RULES!
Nintendo needs to make some tretro commericals like this would be full of win if they did. If only the Wii Zapper didn't look like a turd and was modeled after the original Zapper =/
Bullshit, Nintendo had great home titles, but sega had some of the most popular arcade titles. The sega genesis was a great console and if you were a gamer at the time you had one. The only thing sega really failed at was the master system, it was far inferior to the nes system.
heyy did anyone have the first nes with the robot???
i got a question to ask. my father got me one and like a year later nintendo sent me a check saying we spent too much on it when it was purchased like we got one of the first ones made for the us or something. please let me know. i never cashed it. i still have it somewhere.
My friend got his first nes system in 1985, it came with the robot, I think the system was around 400-500 bucks. I got mine a year or so later, but it didn't come with the robot. I paid $200 for it. I do believe it came with 2 cartridges, not the newer cartride with the duckhunt/mario combo.
Totally agree with you, link458745. and not just because I miss the good ol' days of retro gaming. This system was so revolutionary and innovative. For all intents and purposes, the PS3 and 360 are just upgraded versions of the PS2 and Xbox; they are basically the same systems with slightly better graphics and hardware, but it's nothing new.
OMG you are a retard... he is comparing them to inovation and invention.Have you seen what and Atari looks like?Think about that and then what the NES did for the world. You would not have anything like we do game wise if it were not for the NES.
I can have a ball on the old school games like these and play them for hours and not get bored. I do, however get tired of not being able to win with the new games today. They think it just provides a better challenge, but it doesn't. It just gets me frustrated and want to toss it out the window.
Was that supposed to be an ALIEN reference? Bunch of kids jerking and freakig out over videogames jumping out at them while they walk down a dark corridor?
The first time I saw that commercial in 1986 I though it was for those guns with the red lights, then the TV screen with SMB popped out, and video games were back.

Takes you back where? Man your weird. Not making any sense about taking you back somewhere I don't even know. Are you trying to make yourself reitarded?
I have gotten my NES on my 9th birthday back on 1/10/1986. I have over 300 games now and I still play Mario, Metroid, Mega Man etc etc.
The 1980s and early 1990s was the best time for gaming, today's games bore the hell out of me, no offense. Ever since the 32 bit era, gaming became boring (to me).
Really why? With the after 32 bit I mean? Also, almost all games in general are not worth, old or new. Though it seems like there may be with a couple of the upcoming next-gen games (mostly RPG's and FPS'), a grand, positive, new direction for video games in general. Imagine in the future, but..not so sure yet.
This video brings me to my childhood, the NES was my first video game computer seventeen years ago. And obviously I still having this sensational machine in my house.
@DarrenCax i dont know if youre talking about a different famicon system but the original famicon was released in japan before NES. Nintendo made famicon first and sold good in japan then brought it to the US. They tried to sell it to atari before bringing it to the US. Look it up online ..its pretty interesting
@DarrenCax This isn't the first. The first was just a purple tinted scene showing kids playing it while a voiceover asks if "you'll be the first to play nes".
and you know what? NES games still kick some games from todays ass! Like Tomb Raider: Legend.....that game sucks! Excite Bike is 10 times better than that.
(I'm heavenshands, I just change my name) Yes I agree, Cause personally....I'm all for "gameplay" and "Story" With innovation on there side witht he remote wii this will cease and stop the powerful graphics nonsense...I do like it so I can see what the fudge I'm doing but technically...sony won't really come on top soon.
Also another thing...I do have a PS2 cause most games that were on Nintendo migrated on Sony...I know I will get yelled by this but...I wish kojima would think carefully on MGS series since the wii will have developers going crazy like a kid in a candy store to bring good games that were repetive and boring. I'm done.
I meant as in when games that actually came out in first launch for PS2 they were barely BARELY noticable. Like dark cloud, ridge racer 4, dead or alive, they become repeitive and boring, of course it's ok to play but in the end you know damn well what you will get will be nothing but aches and nothing to gain from it. I meant Other games not the wii, Wii hasn't come out yet so we have to wait and see which will reign supreme.
