Are you sure the standard 937 doesn't have the temperature feedback? On their site, Aoyue say that the digital display reads both set and actual temperature, like the 937+ does, so it is reasonable to think there is some kind of feedback going on. But since they are chinese, I rather not trust them completely. If you actually used a 937, I'd really appreciate some info, because I'm looking to buy one, and the 937+ aren't available in my country.
@Crashboy1024 I've done some research online and I believe you're right. The 937 (not 937+) has a knob to set the temperature and after a short time, the display with switch to actual temperature reading. This is from the manual (found via Google), I haven't used a 937 myself. Thanks for correcting me and making this clear.
@Iwantbrokenlaptops thanks for the heads up :-) Problem is I'm in Australia, so postage from Amazon is usually quite expensive or slow. Local distributes are close (same city) and offer better support, however I often use Amazon for rare items or eBooks.
@tiofilo75 Yeah it pays to shop around, but be aware of high shipping costs. The cheapest I can find on eBay is at the moment is $87 when shipping is taken into account (most have higher shipping cost than item cost).
I bought mine for around $100 shipped from a local distributor.
Is this powerful enough to desolder caps on a motherboard?
