@westy44cal you are totally wrong, first of all this record of undergrounds 1/4 was done on semi-slicks this means street tires, and it was done on 93 octane, got it?? And yea the viper ran a 7 on drags @ 177moh but the underground racing ran a 9.1 @ 177. What that means is if it had drag tires it would have trapped an even higher speed and lower time which means the viper would lose of a roll or on a freeway. U can easily tell they are not drag tires why else would he burn out to warm up the

Eh... close but missing a few links. Before I say anything else first off I've known both Sal and Kevin/KC (UR) personally for years now and the various workings of high end built cars. That being said, UR has tried multiple times with different tunes/tires to get into the 8's and have not due to the E-gear. As for Sal, he's rebuilt his Viper 3 times over to finally run a best of 7.11@201. Saying the lambo could hit that time with more tire is insane to say the least.

@tripleflip7 The fastest UR Gallardos are 6-speeds, not E-gears given they cannot launch anywhere near hard enough to dip that low in the 9's. Nick's Nera TT-R is a 6-speed. Running a 9.0 and trapping 177mph on Toyo R triple 8s, tell me again how it's insane to say putting better tires on the car will lower it's ET lol. To my knowledge they run R888s on all their builds including Nera and want to break 8s with those street tires. And Sal, you say rebuilt, you mean a new setup or it blew up?

You misread my comment. I said it would be insane to think that a TTG could run in the 7's with just a tire swap and high boost like another commenter was stating. Most web surfers haven't a clue about performance cars and what it takes to get to certain times. As for Sal, I meant he's changed the setup multiple times to accommodate new goals with the car.

Shoot, picking up two tenths in those cars with a tire swap should be expected as long as the driving is good. And yes, the latest update for Sal's car has the trubos swapped from the journal bearing T4-88's to larger sealed bearing T6 pro-mod turbos.

@tinleo333 fair enough.The Veyron n CCXR are super cars.The other 2 not so much unless you are basing supercar on performance numbers which it seems you are.The Viper ran its # on drag radial as did the AMS GTR and UGR Lambo.Plus the Viper can run high 7s on pump gas where as the 2 tuner cars run c16 or some other race fuel. Awesome video regardless Im just saying that modded Vipers are king on the drag strip right now n also have takin the Ring record with a factory ACR going 7:12.

@tinleo333 Now for street duty. No dening an AWD GTR is my favorite choice especially an AMS one. UGR LAMBO's as well with AWD and obviously the Veyron. I know the new turbo CCXR just took the 0-200-0 record from the Veyron SS but I can't imagine putting that power down on the street. Just seems for the avg driver the 3 I mentioned are indeed super cars on the street.A modded Viper capable of 7's. Forget it LOL. No traction until 125MPH on a freeway roll even on a DR.

@realfun1232 The lambo has 1500 hp at the wheels (this specific one actually had a little more) while gtr only has 1500 at the crank which translates to 1350 at the wheel, so yeah the lambo is faster when it has more hp and and less weight, how ever if you watch the dragtimes.info video when each have equal hp, the gtr won since its dual clutch transmission is able to shift faster than the lambs e-gear. If you put a built racing engine in the gtr it could also probably hit a 177 mph trap speed.

nope, that 9.2 run is super old 2009ish was around 1400-1500whp according to Kyle Bennet (UGR customer) since he was there during that run. All street tire baby, AMS can suck on that. If they didn't sell the Nera to the idiot in Moscow, mid to low 8's all day on slicks with up to date stage 3 packages running boost by gear and proper launch. TX2K12 is gonna be siiick TT Gs/superleggera's running fast shift programs with longer gear ratios. gonna need the Agera R to keep up with them

@E46325mod I have read enough information about the GTR to know that it does not neither will it ever, according to AMS, use nitrous. The run recorded was also done on pump gas. A true 8 second street car. Full interior, A/C, etc. Now, I absolutely love the lambo too, so don't say I'm getting down on that. It does have a 7mph higher trap, you can't ignore that. But the GTR does weigh a bit more, so I think power/weight would explain that. Like I said, I love both cars. just sayin'.

@SuperSpiderman92 - I know people hate to hear this, but it is due to technology. The AWD of the gtr is more advanced than the lambo and so is the gearbox. That is why the gtr can be heavier than the other cars, but if it has the same hp... the gtr wins.
