  • Could I ask, what is the resolution without the black bars? :)

  • hi can u tell me what settings u use in neoscene to keep that awesome quality

  • This is excellent, but this is not cinemascope, cinemascope is wider.

  • What a beautiful colors... may i achieve those colors with a Panasonic hdc sd9 and vegas?... my colors are very poor... really beautifull... is there any effect or plugin? Tanks!!

    Guz.

  • you can always just add a levels effect to your clips and adjust the contrast and exposure to really bring colors out.

  • @sumonline I have the Panasonic hdc sd9 and it is a far better camera outside than inside. That said, play around with the manual settings like white balance, aperture, manual focus and 24p. I still haven't gotten the hang of 24p with this camcorder. As far as changing focus, try using the remote since the manual focus isn't easy to access while shooting. I also understand that your shutter needs to be 48 for 24p filming

  • What type of color correction did you use? Also what exactly is Neo scene? I'm rather green at this stuff and still trying to decide which Canon to get...30 or 40??? Great job, my favorite is thee piano keys fading in and out!

  • I used a custom cc I made in vegas. Neo Scene is a nifty capturing and converting program that can capture and properly remove the 24p pulldown for the HV20 and 30. That leads to which one I would purchase. If I were you I would get the HV40 since its the newest most up to date camera. The biggest reason is that it records in true 24p frame rate. So no need to remove pulldown. That saves a ton of headache.

  • @fcfguitarist Great, thanks!

  • Hey dude, this stuff is awesome. Question for ya. I wanna make videos like this, but don't wanna spend $900+ for a video camera that I'll only use every once in a blue moon. Is there any cameras that have quality like yours that isn't so expensive?

  • Well if you want really good quality be prepared to fork out around that much. Just remember that it will pay off in the long run. If you want the cinematic look you wanna get one that has the option to film in 24 fps. I'm a Canon guy and recommend any of the HV series cameras. The HV40 has the ability to shoot in native 24p so you dont have to remove pulldown in post. Just look around at videos shot with different cameras and see what you like.

  • its amazing what a high def camera, some editing and a quaint song will do, i really liked this, especially the part where you scroll across the fridge, made it seem like i was watching the beginning of a movie, good stuff man!:D
