I LOVE HIS UNBOXING AND REVIEWS BUT WHY YOU NEED TO MAKE 3 ******* VIDS OF 2 MINS OR LESS EACH WHEN U CAN DO THE UNBOXING AND REVIEW AT THE SAME TIME.......
God damn there are so many unboxing videos. I know I'm not the only one thinking this, we don't want to see it being taken out of a box, we want to see it being put to use!
my opinion...its 110%kickass. played bad company 2 and this card had no probs with everything se to max...8aa and so on...runs fine with 500w psu. 3dmark 06 score 16300
lol why is it that sometimes when people are reviewing a graphics card they also review the box? Its a box, every single product comes with a box, really we dont care about the box.
i would think cards would get smaller and more powerful lol. but instead they get bigger make sense but still i would like it to be smaller and sooner or later its going to be the size of the case.
Well, I don't know about everyone else, but so far I'm definitely liking the new cooler designs on the cards. I'm wondering what the actual heatsink itself looks like... Rodney, do you think you could consider removing the stock cooler and dismantling it in a video to look at the individual parts like the base-plate and heatsink?
As far as the 4870 went, I found the stock GPU heatsink to be surprisingly small...
Honestly, though, the actual GPU heatsink on the 4870s I got were surprisingly small... and strangely enough, even though they were both from sapphire, one of the sink bases was copper... and the other was aluminium. No wonder one ran so much hotter than the other.
I think 'heatsink disections' like that could be both useful and interesting; at the very least to the overclockers watching these videos.
No, the 4850 actually heats up a lot more than the 9800GTX, that's why a lot of manufacturers like Gainward made versions of that card with larger coolers like the Gainward Golden Sample, I bought that one and it was still pretty hot. My friend had a 9800GTX and it was cooler.
But the 4850 is faster than the 9800GTX (well only slightly, and not in all games)
However, the HD5800 series are really a lot cooler and energy efficient than the HD4800 series, definitively worth it.
true very true....only card i see from the 9 series to beat the 4850 is the 9800 gx2 lolz...but thats a duel gpu lolz the gtx+ is on par with ot.....but that about it lolz
nice looking, its good that ATI r getting back in the game, new cards r coming out and slaughtering other cards lol, nvidia has a little competition again, but maybe not for long when the gtx 300 card some out, nice unboxing
Yeah I really like 5000 series because its so power fficient and doesnt get hot aswell oh and by the way, crossfire with these cards works so so well! ;) Oh and nice vid 3DGAMEMAN!
I like the design. Pretty stiff prices on the new 5800 series. Does anyone know if the nVidia 300 series can run on x58 motherboards, Asus p6t in particular?
I just sent an email to HIS regarding this. Maybe the toolkit is included, but was missed in a few boxes. I'll post a message later once I receive confirmation on this matter.
Personally, I'm going to wait for a while until the prices on stuff like the 5870 and SSDs drop and become more affordable; although that said, the 5850 looks awesome too. I think the 5850 surpasses even the 4870X2's performance level?
Hi rodney, awesome video as always, but I was wondering. Is it worth investing in directX11? I've got an 4890 ATM but I was thinking for going crossfire in the future instead of buying like an 5870. Will the difference just in direct X not in performance be big?

I'm talking about a 58(5)0x2. Please notice thats a "5" and not a "7" .
5850x2
PSPfanBOY22 2 years ago
@PSPfanBOY22 Yes its 5850x2 even though the name suggests 5870x2
If you check the 5970's core clock and memory clock they are identical to the 5850, just with 2 GPU's.
I dont know if the cards architecture is more similar to the 5870, but performance is identical to 5850x2

I understand that. But I don't think my P6T x58 supports ati cards.
evenk93 2 years ago
all x58 boards support sli and crossfire
bigrigross 2 years ago
Not completly true. As they all "can." Just some manufactures don't get sli certification on their boards cause its cheaper that way.
For example. the Asus P6T and the P6TSE, the SE edition will not support SLI and it is $20 cheaper.
