Xbox has much better graphics for this game, it's like, wow. But the Wii (despite lacking 2 small levels for some weird reason) has a lot more action and enjoyment in it than the Xbox version, that's excluding the Wiimote controls altogether.

If the Wii and Xbox versions were morphed, you would have THE perfect sonic game.

I hate the wii version. I bought it, beat it and like 75 percent of the time is running slow in a bad graphic werehog stage. The normal gameplay is good. The story is absolute shit. Chips voice is annoying and who came up with the name Professor Pickles. Im getting ther 360 game. In the xbox version, there are 2 extra levels, hedgehog engine and better graphics.

ive played through the entire wii version, and it is almost 75% werehog. and they cut 2 levels out (empire city, and mazurie) its really fun either way, the werehog levles are challenging and fun! they kinda get annoying after awhile...(4 acts, each 6 mins long for werehog, 1 3 min act for hedgehog....)

Very true, but the controls on the 360 and PS3 versions look a little bit smoother than the other versions from what I've seen. I've yet to get a good look at the Werehog levels on the ps2 and Wii though so I can't really comment on those...:/

It's understandable if the nighttime stages are repetitive, Sonic has never been good in beat'em up platforming. While I'm willing to give the Werehog a chance I still say they should of focused on shear speed. That is what Sonic is best at after all.

Just got my magazine in. Here's a basic rundown:

The Good:

-Graphics

-Awesome daytime stages

-Wii controls work great in the daytime stages.

The Bad:

-Werehog stages get pretty repetitive (and there's a bit too many of them)

-Menu based mission system feels bland (Wii version lacks the hub worlds)

Not really a huge complaint but he also mentioned that for the werehog stages it's better to use the Classic Controller as the Wii remote/nunchuck controls have sloppy responsiveness.

The combat system for Were Sonic is so boring and unoriginal. A retarded monkey with one hand could do it. Too many enemies and very few ways to fight'em. Its like Silver but SLOWER.

I should be getting my issue in soon so I'll read the whole review then. Some things IGN and NP seem to agree on though are that the graphics and daytime stages are great, but the werehog stages are pretty repetitive and can get boring. Hmm, I'll save my final judgment for when I play the game myself but it sounds like for Sega's next Sonic game (Sonic and the Black Knight) the best thing to do is to make sure they avoid another "werehog" situation.

not really. it's too slow for Knuckles and isn't really a strength thing since the WhereHog's gameplay involves his stretchy arms the most. The should make Sonic the way he is now and then Knuckles the way Sonic USE to be (like Sonic's gameplay in SA and SA2) only instead of homing attack and spins he has gliding and punches (and climbing walls of course) and go through levels like Sonic in SA2. Tails too only no clibing and he tail attacks and flies =p. And Shadow (same as his SA2 gameplay).

eh, WereHog's style is a bit cartoony, and I don't think Knuckles is that...mm...idk...Knuckles doesnt break and smash that much. XD He's little and skinny like Sonic, he even runs like Sonic. I think Knuckles is like Sonic only a little stronger and a little slower. But not like all tough strong muscles and beatdown type XP

As for Black Knight, I think the movement is the same as Secret Rings besides a few things, which I didnt like, it'd be okay, but I'd prefer something different, I guess I wouldnt mind that one tho

well for me, the Wii isn't a pile of junk. I just don't like platform games on it cuz I don't like sensor controls when it comes to moving a character around, unless it was for moving a body part of action, but actually running and jumping I'd prefer it the other way. I also don't like getting up being TOO active over a lil game other than stuff related to the movement so I don't have many Wii games to play. But there are some I like and other than that I'm good. =p
