I am a grandma of two and a bird lover too! I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I have a green-naped lory of my own and her name is Nikki. She is a beauty! I love her dearly! Australia is an incredible country! The birds are spectacular!!
nots so bad. kind nice. just hope you dont have alot to clean up after. to get a bird to eat out your hand around here would take like years. so shy. peace. gregg
LOL I am certain it will happen, I already have them wistling to me when ever I am in the back yard... when ever I put food out I call them with a wistle and now they know me :¬D
That is SO cool! Pete told me about this video. I hope you sent it to Cory as a video response - he never got to see Rainbow Lorikeets. I love their colours even if they're mean buggers.
That was awesome. You guys are so lucky. My son loved the video. He said he wants to move there when he grows up so he can play with the birds too. Love ya, Beth
Thanks for sharing the birds! It's so fun to interact with wild animals like that sometimes! I used to be able to feed deer by hand at a house I lived at once (in town, in the woods, on the side of a mountain)
that is so lovely... all those amazing colours of the birds... I would have to feed our local birds regularily for aprox 3yrs before they became that tame.. :¬D
Awesome! :) This is something you would never see in the USA. We dont have exotic birds here for one. Those are parrots wow! Some people would pay alot of money for one here. Its so cool to see them free and in thier natural beauty. You girls are so lucky to be able to have your own bird aviary back there!
