@Dierwolf2000 Well its not actually adventurine, its ready rolled up Dicro! and n Its very expensive, like 125 a bar, it has certain advantages but it also has it limitations as well! Its James Novak and he makes some really cool pieces in dicro! Hope that was helpful!
its also really amazing what Greg Allen, present owner of Blockhead Tools, has done with blow molds processes and his technical expertise and eye on detail.
yes it is, im workin on a couple or three designs to bring to him, i GOTTA see that machine in action. Im trained on traditional metal machining tools (bridgeport mill mainly) so to see a CNC cut wood is gonna be a big treat.
I feel so exceedingly priveleged to be a part of a fire art community like this. people such as yourselves with wonderful amazing life stories, and wowza, you created blockhead tools, without your blocks i don't know where i'd be, doubtful our school could make their own. Thank you so much for your art, and your contributions to the glass world. maybe one day i can make it out there and be a good glasser myself. I sure hope so. Thanks again for all your hard work and beautiful pieces.
if yer ever lookin for help don't hesitate to ask, i'm about to start a job that'll let me travel and i look at glass much the same way you do. functional beauty. anyway, take care man!
Beautiful work here! Thanks for sending me your video. I think it truly speaks to who you are as an artist. Looking forward to seeing more of these! How long does your process take?
@PersonalChefMkt Thank you for your kind words! The process? Glass blowers like to say 20 years and two hours! That's because most glass blowing pieces take less then two hours, which is a long time on a the pipe, and twenty years refers to, that maybe in twenty years you might be learning how to do it right! ! ahahaha.. Thanks :)
question for you, out of curiousity. are you the "local glass artist" that makes aventurine rod for OCR?

I watched your video and I think it is a beautiful story well told.
Loved seeing the creation and extent of your interests in glass and
some of your fabulous pieces. How 'bout that banjo playing too?!
Great job!
