@tyler14davis.....I couldn't personally tell you because I have never shot a Mossberg 835 Ultra Mag, but I believe they may be similar in size (the 835 may be bigger), so the kick is probably the same. Or, the 870 Express Super Mag may kick alittle more if it is the smaller gun. Also depends on the size load you are using.
