There is nothing innate about beautiful hair that needs to be "cleansed"! In fact, there is nothing more full of nature and blossoming than long hair on a chick.
I understand that shaving your head was a means to cleanse your ego by detaching from all the material things associated with hair. Indeed, your hair was very attractive, but the wonderful irony is that you're even more attractive without it! it's a process for sure. it starts with listening to your heart and not others opinions, views and fears. i detached from all my material possessions last year. self-acceptance and compassion towards others is another way. patients and time is key.

I understand your sentiments. A few years back a series of events led to the loss of my livlihood as well as pretty much my financial obliteration. I was never very materialistic, but was generally successful so when that changed it adversely affected the way I felt about myself - which only made a bad situation worse. Its easy to lose sight of what's really important. I measure success differently now.
