@cymrudoyle They upstaged Sonata when I saw them, had the crowd going wild and sonata kinda lost the audience when they played songs like "the misery" that nobody knew

@Acreteos Yea i thought Labyrinth was the best band the night i saw them, i even thought Triosphere were better live than Sonata. Sonata were great but seemed to rigid and scripted!

@Khalis33 I mean it like this. Every has a favorite genre or whatever of metal. That's fine, I got my favorites too. There's the classics, and then there's new stuff. But there are people who simply disregard the new as "not real metal" or "not br00tal" or whatever. Some people write off obscure genres as if the were nothing. The point is, if everyone focused on the metal community as a whole, we could overtake "musicians" like Bieber or Lil' Faggot or whatever. But people choose hate.

I think instead of hating each other between bands, we should all unite with each other. After all, we're all part of the same rock/metal genre!! We are some of the few people that still listen to any form of good music.

I listen to tons of aggressive metal bands e.g God Dethroned, Vader, Kreator etc but its always good to have polar opposites that are very vocal melody based e.g Labyrinth to mix it up a bit and this song is a perfect example!

To certain extend we can consider Metal to have evoluated in two opposite and extreme ways: vocals very low and very very very agressive...or vocals very high and not at all agressive...you may love that it is your right but I have the right to think it's a bad thing...obviously many bands (in Power Metal AND in Death) have good riffs and good ideas...but the vocals are very "special" and as to me it spoils the music. I prefer vocals like Dickinson, Halford, Mustaine, etc.

I'm open minded, Ardanir, because I don't say those bands are crap or don't play efficient music and I don't blame people to be into Death or Power metal. I'm just saying that to MY opinion, traditionnal Heavy (like Maiden) Speed Metal (like Rage) or Thrash Metal (like Megadeth) sounds better and I love those bands but I don't love Power or Death Metal. I'm open minded, but I won't force myself to listen those bands if I don't love their music.

Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Motörhead, Metallica (the first albums), Megadeth, WASP, Anvil, Metal Church, Running Wild, now THAT is good metal ! Not those horrible growling voices you don't even understand...or those gentle Charming Prince's voice that have lost all rock'n'roll attitude and that have forgotten that metal is made to kick asses...aw what happened to metal...so sad, so sad...

@Filiomortis There is still some metal like that that's still floating around....Exodus, for instance, put out a pretty solid album this year. I personally like the power metal sound...such as Sonata Arctica, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, etc....along with the old Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer sound.

what is crap in behemoth and morbid is the vocals...but it's crap also in Labyrinth...Death Metal have too low growling voices...I'm always wondering why it has had so many success when their way to sing is so ugly...But Powermetal's voices are too gentle and high pitched ones...I prefer agressive (but not too much), high pitched or medium pitched vocals in traditionnal heavy metal, speed metal, and old school thrash metal...
