  • u got fooled by blacks

  • I am an Anarchist,.. as i resent to obey those who've placed themselves above the majority of people, to control and regulate many aspects of life.

I believe for a society to be free, we must dismmiss the pyramid of power wich stands as a model for authoritarian structures. I stand for social equality based on the circle that symbolises the cooperation of people regardless of social status or any status for that matter.

  • With that, i fear these new campaigns of a black president, versus the female president, are leading to something else of wich i have no idea what it might be.

I do think it has caused black populations and females in general, to feel more compelled to start voting, where another white male couldnt even reach out to them.

Based on the time that the media has granted each participant for presidency, i assume that Hillary is going to win this election.

Though i wonder, if it matters in the end?

  • And you are a racist, you make vast (and ridiculous generalizations) in regards to whites and blacks. I will now attempt to spoonfeed you an example of how your reasoning is seriously flawed. You talk about white privilege, but of what meaning is this privilege to white people who grow up poor? What of white people who commit crimes and go to jail? Statistics do not translate to benefits for an entire group of people based on skin color. You are ridiculous.

  • I taught in a predominately black urban school for 15 years. Instead of imposing my whiteness on them, I learned about their lives, culture, history until I understood why many blacks were angry at whites and refused to assimilate. Then my education took me further into sociology, critical theory and educational theory. I have studied political power and how it is maintained through our educational system. I have read marginalized texts from every oppressed group in the US and the world..

  • And one thing is clear in all my studies: wealthy whites (probably not you directly) are responsible for atrocities, oppression, slavery, exploitation of poor peoples and their resources, genocide, and nameless other wrongs, so what am I supposed to think as the US illegally invades Iraq, steals their oil, kills hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians, all in the name of what? Economics? World Trade? Fighting terrorism? "The greatest purveyor of violence in the world is the US." MLK

  • So, what?! Do I close my eyes? My heart? My truth, my sense of justice, fairness, belief in democracy? I am a racist. I believe in the human race, equality, peace and justice. You have not said one thing to make me believe that care about anyone but yourself. If a chlid is lying sick, starving in the street, would you stop and help?

What about the children you cannot see?

Since I started writing this one response, 15 children have died from poverty in the world, 1 every 3 seconds.

  • I can assure you that by your same logic, you would discriminate against Asians for being overrepresented in science and math university programs. If they make up a significantly higher proprotion of entrants into these types of education programs, would you suggest that these programs are enacting racist criteria for admission? Would you then imply that Asians are privileged in some unfair manner? Of course you wouldn't, you only want to criticize and imaginary racist system that doesn't exist.

  • you're worng on two counts. 1) I suport affirmative action programs that promote historically underrepresented people in the workplace and education. 2) You are stereotyping Asians. While the number of Asians in science and Math programs has risen, whites and particularly males dominate programs. Asians, and immigrants in general have no problems assimilating to a culture that they asked permission to join. cont.

  • Stop mischaracterizing my statement! I never stereotyped Asians. YOU'RE THE FUCKING RACIST, not me. I simply said that Asians are overepresented in science and math programs, as compared to their proportions in the general population. By your reasoning, there is racism that favors Asians and they enjoy an undeserved privilege. Statistics don't prove privilege. You have some sort of resentment towards white people. The bottom line is, privileges (and inequalities) in life aren't based on race.

  • Okay, you're correct on Asians. I apologize for he misunderstanding. HOwever, If like Murray and Hernstein (The Bell Curve), you're suggesting a heirarchy of intelligence based on race, or that Asians are more intelligent, therefore better suited for math and science, I still say bull. Ability is artificially created by a number of factors, including cultural, social acceptance, and assimilation.

You keep calling me racist? I have nothing but words to impose my views.

  • You really are a piece of work! I never implied that any "race" is more or less intelligent than any other "race". The entire concept of race is ridiculous, anyways. It also seems to be a concept you are obsessed with. That being said, there is a bell curve of intelligence (just like most other variables of people like height, lifespan, etc), but it isn't based on race, rather just the entire population. That being said, there is a strong realtionship between intelligence and genetics.

  • In school, I was told I had poor reading comprehension, and was sent to special reading classes, even while I earned "A's" on my grade card. All the way to high school, the same, so that I didn't think abut college; instead took a factory job out of high school. 11 years later, tired of dead end jobs, I went to college, earned a BA in English--I can't read remember. Yes, it is about class, but because I was white, it was easier. That's not guilt, that's anger at a system that fails millions

  • Hi Peacelf, Your right Obama has remained silent on jobs because he has no experience in creating jobs. Hillary actually lost 63,000 jobs here in NY after promising to create jobs in upstate NY. Her husband was instrumental in sending jobs over-seas when he signed the Nafta agreement into law in 1993

  • Thank you. I've said these same things in other forums, but how do you convince people that the two party dictatorship is the problem, not Republicans. They are both beholden to corporate interests, and the average working person gets...

    peace

  • You don't look or sound very privileged, to me. What kind of privileges do you enjoy as a white male, oh mighty spokesperson for white males? The concept that there is a uniform concept of what defines "the people" is also ridiculous. Populism is inherently silly. Who are these "people" you speak of?

  • huey, certainly not you. You are either wealthy or blindly following the rules to which you espouse.

    peace

  • Don't dodge the question: what benefits do white males enjoy?

  • I listed several, but apparently you have your mind made up. Without dealing with issues of social class, white males predominately hold power everywhere in our society: public and private sector. Our literature and history books lionize white males to the detriment of Others. Yur skin color will never be questioned or considered when interviewing for a job. A Taxi cab will never pass you by, and you have half the chance of going to prison if convicted of a crime than a black male. cont.

  • How do you know my skin color won't be considered when interviewing for a job? How do you know a taxi won't pass me by because of my skin color? You're listing semi-statistics, not real privileges. Privileges in life aren't determined by color. Many whites are born outside of this privileged framework you speak of. You are espousing racist views towards whites, by implying (in a derogatory manner) that they are necessarily privileged. Even worse, you're wrong.

  • cont. Assimilation is important, but the historical factors that affect blacks, Latinos and women cannot be dismissed as "their problems." Wealthy white people make the rules and only if you're willing to play by those rules, and not complain about any unfair practices (like the glass ceiling in promotions)can you possibly succeed. If you're not willing to play, well, you're f---ed. That's the state of many non-whites today.

    cont 3

  • cont 2 The media shows you hundreds of great examples of white males doing all kinds of wonderful things. Yes, most of these are psychological benefits, but if you work hard and play by the rules, you'll go much farther than a black man or woman.

Now, you can discount everything I said, or look at the facts--read any sociological studies.

  • What media are you talking about? The media reports on Britney Spears and OJ Simpson. Hundreds of examples? I bet you can't even list ten that have recently been mentioned (the media doesn't report on "wonderful things"). Your implication that a white person will necessarily achieve more than a black person, when all things are equal, is again a racist position. Regarding studies, please stop pretending that you're educated and informed on sociological studies.

  • cont 3 'Why should we join the imperialist, supremacy white culture that seeks to destroy people of color in the world?'

Have you not yet asked yourself why this white guy would be so supportive of non whites and women? You just think I'm crazy, stupid, an idiot! I told you I genuinely care, but you're too cynical to beileve that anyone really cares enough to extend himself beyond what is "normal." Believe it. I'm for real.

  • The media I am referring to has hundreds of white male stars on TV comedies, dramas, news reporters, Lou Dobbs, Rush Limbaugh, Al Franken, Wolf Blitzer, Harry Smith, etc. etc. etc. Until Katie Couric, white males dominated netwrk news. The owners of the media conglomerates? White males! Fox News rountable has Juan Williams; the rest white males. How much more proof do you need? Count the women, count the men. It's simple math. Why is this so difficult to comprehend?

  • "The media I am referring to has hundreds of white male stars on TV comedies, dramas, news reporters,"

Are women underrepresented? I don't think so ...

  • sourcerer, Women have made greater strides toward exposure equality, but they still only earn 73% of what men earn in the workplace. WalMart, for example, has the largest class action lawsuit in history for their systematic discrimination against women. WalMart is only the tip of the iceberg. So, I wouldn'tbe satisfied that equality has been achieved.

  • In 2003, Senator Obama said he was for a single payer health system, but now opposes plans that cover every American. He promised to repeal the Patriot Act, but then voted to extend it. He promised to normalize relations with Cuba, but flip-flopped when he started running for president.

In 2008, Senator Obama rails against NAFTA in Ohio while his top economic advisor assures the Canadians his rhetoric is just "political positioning.

    If thats change, not interested!

  • I COMPLETLEY agree. Love the vids :-).

    I subscribed!

  • what revolution?

  • dudabuda, it "sounds like a whisper..." according to the song:)

The revolution will not be televised. It will be YouTubized.

    peace

  • what about mike gravel???? hes still runing..

  • I like Mike Gravel a lot. He's audaciously critical of the current system. If he stays in the race, I will vote for him. Thanks for pointing that out, though. He is a very important voice.

    peace

  • I respectfully disagree with 90% of your opinions. Cheers!

  • No harm done.

    Peace

  • Indeed... Indeed.

When people gasp because of how depressed I tell them I am about this election... I cry..

  • Believe the change...be the change...I cry too: (

Good to hear from you ole pal. Hope everything is going well (notwithstanding the presidential election.

  • I think it's time to organize an impeachment campaign for Hillary and Obama.

  • Yeah...Vote McCain! Hell, Vote Huckabee! I loved his movie, I (heart) Huckabee.

  • Good Morning Vietnam was good too. I don't know what McCain is always bitching about.

  • Peaceelf!!!Allways feels like a privlage to listen to you talk. Very interesting stuff on this video. You said it better then the media could... BTW Dennis Kucinich was my first choice, 2nd being Edwards for president. Edwards didn't recive the attention Obama and Hilary did, becuase he's not black or a woman. What a shame... I believe he could have made a good president :( Keep up the good work.

  • I think Edwards didn't get the attention for those reasons and because he spoke out against corporate power, and spoke FOR the poor and disaffected. why that's "class warfare" and if you're a rich corporate owned media journalist, you don't want the poor to have power.

    thanks for the generous comments.

    peace

  • Oh yes of course, anyone speaking out against corporate power wouldn't get too much coverage by corpate owned media stations, :( what a shame though. I think he would have been a good president, I am not too sur with Obama or Hilary, they disapoint me...

and np, keep speaking your mind ! "Peace"(as you say ^.^)

  • Great commentary, better said than all the media

numskulls. Keep up the good work for the good of

America and the mankind in general.

  • Thanks DL. We can't expect anythin from the mainstream media journalists because it's their job to maintain the status quo in politics and economics. OUR job is to rock the boat with whatever means available (YouTube!).

    peace

  • cool ^^

  • HR1955 and soon to be S59 legislation will soon silence all. People unite and fight this before it's too late

  • Well said Peacelf...but we all know how few realize what is going on. Perhaps there is hope for this country in the future, given You tube and other internet communication sites but.........

Once they find a way to limit what you say on the internet (HR 19555 and S59 legislation) we will be doomed. And that's what's in the works.Let's just hope the NRA keeps fighting to ensure our 2nd amendment right. Workers unite...you have nothing to lose but your chains!

  • I haven't looked closely at those bills. I will now. Thanks sandy

  • Go Peacelf! Excellent vid
