I don't particularly enjoy the taste of Noni either. I think it tastes like blue cheese. But the health benefits completely out weigh the taste. There's this website I order from and they have banana flavored noni fruit leather and it makes it so much easier to eat! its real-noni . com
i tried noni juice and it smelled like vomit and tasted even worse! Yuck! im glad i'm not the only one that thinks its nasty....i thought i just got a bad bottle of it or something...
Hmmm....you know I wonder. You say it's taste pretty strong? Perhaps it's health benefits come from it's pungent characteristics. You know, kinda like how garlic and onions are good for you, but leave a very strong taste in your mouth (and even your skin for that matter). This sounds goofy, but maybe it's bitterness is a chemical repellent to the bad things in your body.
@sapodotroposo that would be great! I am still looking for the name and have yet to find it! lol it brings back certain memories that I would have never remembered had it not been for this video. Thanks for looking, either way! :)
@Rawmodel um you dont eat the noni..when noni is ready you take the noni and put it in a bucket and cover it up tight...within 2 weeks you take the noni out and make sure you drain the noni juice..you only drink the noni juice!!!
I'm traveling to South East Asia this winter. If I find noni walking by, I'll definitely try it. Will try durian for the first time too (too reluctant to buy it and open it in my own home lol)
Haha, loved this video. I was taveling in Guatemala and got a TERRIBLE upset stomach one day. It was all I could do to get myself to the market the next day and ask around for some kind of natural medicine- they made me a smoothie with one of these and some milk. The next day I was completely better. Definitely disgusting, but if I come down with swine flu or anything like that, I'm heading straight for the Noni's!
No one says we have to like every fruit. The cooked juice is not good so I am sure the fruit is rough. Psssssst David Wolfe DOESNT have it figured out..not even close. Those who follow him are misled greatly.
We have them in Barbados too, here we call them dog dumplings. Mostly will be steeped in plain water and one to four ounces of this would be added to your drink. It is a wonderful bitter tonic, helps women with menstrual problems, so must help prostate too! Contains bromain, like pineapples, it's treated like a cure all. Enjpy
Funny...I just got some Noni juice, it's actually pretty good, (must have another fruit juice with it) spicy like you say. I also incidentally picked up some Sunfood Wild Bali Cacao beans...I'm sold. I need to go to Bali NOW! ;)
this can be a wonderful substitute for cheese cravings then..

LOL, thanks for your candor!
I use raw noni powder in my smoothies and it is potent in terms of changing the taste of the whole smoothie.
