Ive been Overseas as a Devil dog india company buffalo new york. its a whole diff world over there and it takes alot to be over there and see the stuff most of us have seen. SemperFi
My son's name was Michael, he served the Marine Corps for 8 yrs and was Honorable Discharged 02/08. He was in Afghanistan and Iraq and he came home safe, but took his own life on 05/17/09. No one knew what he was going thru, he kept it to himself, always had a smile on his face. He leaves behind a 6 yr old dtr. This video gives us a glimpse of what our men and women have experienced in war. God Bless Our men and women who serve. Semper Fi!! Hoo-Rah!! I just had to share, Mom of a Marine.
Thank you for writing. God bless you and your family. I am so sorry for your loss and grateful for the sacrifice Michael and your family made for our country.
Amen to the message of this video...will there ever be a day where men and women do not have to die to show how much they love their people and their country? We teach our children not to fight so why do countries resort to fighting??? Good love and God bless you all - Soldiers, families, and friends
Very good video but one part of it really bothers me. I'm a Soldier that served in Sadr City, Iraq for 15 months along with about 10 other females in our Military Police company. We fought the same war, did the same missions, carried the same combat load, got in the same firefights, drove the same Hummers, got blown up the same way, and suffered the same losses as our male Soldiers. Sleep well, not only are your sons protecting our great nation, so are your daughters!
I wish I could see more soldiers, each one I see I make a point to cross the room, or go across the store,or next gas pump, just to shake their hand and say thank you. I think everyone should, you owe your freedom to them and the ones that came before them.
taking the time to walk across the and thank a soldier or marine for what he does, you can never know how much that effects us each time and great it makes us feel even if we dont show you. those little things help win wars :) thank you
If anyone ever does another thing in their life, say a prayer for our soldiers. Nowadays it seems like theirs less and less support because of the media. If you get a chance, shake the hand of a soldier and say thank you.
kboen: very well said, our troops do not get the respect that they deserve. As a former vet let me say, a "thank you" or hand shake sometimes makes what we go through worthwhile!!
Good video... My youngest son just returned from a year in Iraq this past October... Home in time for the county fair!... Only one problem there... Crowds of people + a sudden fireworks show + a soldier fresh home from the front lines = DISASTER!... He took off like a bat out of hell, ducking for cover in pure panic!... Now, that's something they don't prepare ANYONE for!
this is soo true i was complaining to my couosin(rct donald miller)about how i have to wake up soo early for school and he goes oo yeah jen...guess when i have to wake up you little yit!!!!i love you donald i misss you !!!
Here Here, all the way! I'd be over there with my American brothers if I could. I'm trying again to get in. Until then . . . Stay safe and if it helps, I'm behind you.
Sorry for Your Loss...
RIP
God Bless ! !
