  • i just bought 2 Kicker 10C104 Comp 10-Inch Subwoofer (4 Ohm) What amp do you recomend that gets the job done but does not hurt the wallet?

  • @GiantLeprechaun9 The ZX300.1 Would be the perfect amplifier to run these two subs on.

  • My kicker comps are 4 ohm's each.

  • Just purchased a kicker ix 500.1 (2010 model) for 2 15" kicker comps. Did I pair them up correctly? If so, how do I connect them?

  • @littlegoondude depends on the impedance of the subs

  • @littlegoondude You have paired them correctly. You need to wire them in a paralell configuration. You must daisy chain the positive terminals as well as the negative terminals on the amp. If you need a visual diagram please visit our site and you will find a subwoofer wiring tool in the knowledge base.

  • shoot check my videos. I have a Boss 1400 watt hooked up to these and they friggin slammed.

  • I have a 600watts kicker 12'' Comp what kinda of amp could i use?? i was thinking a pionner 820??

  • @temeriando22 Do you have the Dual 4 ohm or the Dual 2 ohm Version?

  • that is a massive port for those subs

  • @TheDCdudeADS Not really, it is a pretty average port size. Now if it was an 8 or a 10 that would be a different story

  • so these subs could not handle 600rms my buddy had a pair banging with a memphis 500d i think the box was sealed would that make a difference in how well they hold up? i was thinking about a pair and have 600rms

  • I have 2 12 inch comps currently with a kicker dx300.1 amp. How much of a difference would a larger amp make?

  • @KeeganH61 We would not recommend going with a bigger amplifier with these subs. They are only rated 150 watts RMS each and that is exactly what you are pushing with the dx300.1.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Sonic what is the most watts RMS that the average car can handle on stock electrical ?

  • @KeeganH61 it would blow the ass end out of your sub

  • will this fit in my nissan cube?

  • @YMCMB4L1F3 Unfortunatly, we do not have this information available. These are universal designs, however depending on your rear cabin space, this box may or may not fit. It will most likely fit but if you would like to make sure you can measure your available space in the back and see if they fit the following dimensions:

    13-7/8"TD x 17-1/4"BD x 32-7/16"W x 16"H

  • I JUST put in the 2 12" comp kickers and love them so far. I have a video on my channel if anyone is interested

  • Could this amp run only one 12 inch kicker comp??

  • @TNSxDYNASTYx Yes, you wil need to make sure the Single 4 ohm is used on the amp at 150 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

  • My 12" kicker comps are rattling but the aren't blown and one is stiffer than the other what can u recommend to loosen one and I have taken the rattling one out of the box and I couldn't fix the rattle

  • @Pandarenism The rattling might be coming from your vehicle. If you havent sound dampened your vehicle then we would recommend you do this next.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Nah not my vehicle cause i took the rattling one out of the box and i could tell he rattling was coming from the sub hmm idk then

  • @Pandarenism This is the first sign of a subwoofer being blown. It might not be completely blown but just partially.

  • @SonicElectronixTV I was thinking of upgrading to the pair of cvr's you guys have on ur website for 180$ what amp would u recommend with that product and why?

  • @Pandarenism The Kicker Zx750.1 would be the perfect amplifier for these subwoofer. It is basically the amplifier that is meant for these subwoofers.

  • Would a hifonics brutus 1200 watt amp be too much for 2 15 inch newer model kicker comps?

  • @5150kicker No, these kickers will handle that amplfiier just fine. Kicker subs can take the punishment.

  • would a 250.1 dx kicker amp power 2 12 inch xplod 1200 watts each

  • @1pipillo1 You would only be able to power 1 Xplod with this amplifier.

  • @SonicElectronixTV thank you i appreciate it

  • would a Kicker zx400.1 amp work fine with two Kicker comp 12's-4 ohm- 150 rms each? or would it be overpowering it?

  • @Un1QuE305 No you will be fine, Kicker subwoofers are designed to take more than the rated power. 50 watts more for each woofer isnt that big of a deal. I would suggest to make sure you have your amplifier tuned and set correctly, specially the gain.

  • @SonicElectronixTV but the zx300.1 would match perfectly right?

  • @Un1QuE305 yeah that would be perfect and the amp is underrated so it will actually give you a little more than 300W.

  • Watch my video if wanna see some bumping.

  • Ohh alright thanks man.

And right now I have it in a Orion extreme bandpass box and sound really good, but I'm looking for a subwoofer that would sound the best in the kind of box I have.

    Any suggestions?

  • @bballxp001 Bandpass enclosure are suppose to be the best of both world but I personally do not like them. The subwoofer or subwoofers that you put into that enclosure should math the specific tuning of that enclosure otherwise it won't sound as great. If you want your woofers to sound better put them in a sealed or ported enclosure that has been specifically tuned for your subs.

  • One question, I just bought a kicker CVR and a 2ohm 2000 watt amp and started messing with my settings in my head unit and found something where u can change the phase to reverse, or normal.

    What is that??

  • @bballxp001 That is actually a pretty cool feature, if your sub-woofer is inverted then you would use the reverse phase. If the woofer is mounted normally then you would go with the normal setting.

  • I just got a hfi1000.1 got it from u guys running on this set up I think its 750watts at 2ohm and they slam all day I love kicker and hifonics. Love sonic u guys rock what do u think of..Dc auido

  • NEED HELP!!!!!!! i bought this exact package not long ago and wired it all up and every thing is wired up correctly i tripple checked but when i turn my lights on or open the door or boot the amp turns on the head unit and starts playing music for about 10 seconds then cuts out with out the key in the ignition??? PLEASE HELP

  • @1710hayden Double check your turn on wire, sound like you might have the turn on wire hooked up incorrectly. If it is hooked up correctly you might have a malfunction with your headunit. The possibility of a short in your car is also a very high possibility. If you unplug the amplifier, does it still do the same thing? Does your headunit function properly when the car is on?

  • @SonicElectronixTV when the amp is not hooked up the head unit then the head unit works as normal im thinking the amp is faulty??

  • @XYGTHOPhaseIII Yeah check your wiring and make sure you are wiring to the proper impedance but if it still doing the same thing then you more then likely have a short inside the amplifier which means the amplifier is faulty. You can always get you amplifier bench tested to see if its the amplifier that is not working.

  • @1710hayden check your remote wire.

  • i just picked up two of these subs with everything i need but the audio guy gave me a 2000 watt blackmore amp is that too much for these subs?

  • @montecarlokid408 You should be good, that amp is probably not going to give you all the power it is stating. Also Kicker subs can handle a little more than their recommended power rating. Just make sure you set the amplifier correctly and set your gain properly to avoid any damage to the woofers.

  • i got a Kicker zx350.4 amp, im in Aus so if i were to sell it, being unused how much should i sell it for??

  • Those Kicker comp woofers are better than I expected I used to have 2 12" comps in separate ported boxes built to kickers max ported box size specs, I had no room in my trunk after installing both boxes but they sounded very clean and hit hard and low.

  • go a full kicker set! subs, speakers and amps! great crisp sound

  • I have 2 zx 300.1 amps would it b fine to put 1 on each kicker comp 12

  • @coolmax10 Yes that is absolutely fine. Your Kicker comps are rated at 150 watts RMS, and your amplifier will each produce around 300 watts RMS at 2ohms which is more than enough for each subwoofer.

  • -i have two kicker comp 15s with an enclosure box, what kicker amp is best for my two kicker comp 15s?

  • @htownswagga If you have the Single 8 ohm subs go with the Kicker DX300.2 and wire the subs to a final impedance of 4 ohms. If you have the Single 4 ohm subs go with the Kicker ZX300.1 and wire the subs to a final impedance of 2 ohms. There are some cheaper amps but honestly its not worth the hassle. These amp are great and pretty affordable.

  • i might get 4 of these subs what amp should i get for them and how many

  • @spencer445993 My suggestion would be go with two of the Kicker DC124 and wire them together in parallel to a final impedance of 2 ohms. Once you do this all you will need is a ZX500.1 amplifier or even a Kenwood KAC-8105D, Boston Acoustics GTA-500m or even VIBE Audio Slick A7. Any of those amplifiers will work great for two of those loaded enclosures.

  • how about the 1600W Kicker + Autotek Complete Bass Package that you have on your website

  • @spencer445993 That is a good package and will sound pretty loud. 800W RMS is more bass than people think it is. Its a good combo at a good price you wont be disappointed.

  • Comment removed

  • will you guys ever have this sale again? I really want this set up but it sais the sale was discontinued.

  • @montecarlokid408 Unfortunately at this time we are not able to provide a definite answer. Take a look at some of our other combos, we have some that are just as good as this one but for the time being this combo will still remain discontinued. Sorry for the inconvenience.

  • @SonicElectronixTV so what would be the closest package to this one within the same price range?

  • @montecarlokid408 If you go to our website and type in: 600W Kicker + Crossfire Complete Bass Package, you will be package that was closest to the combo on the video. Just remember that the loaded Kicker enclosure will always sound better because it was tune precisely to match the woofers. You can also go with the 600W Kicker + Autotek Bass Package if you want to save some money. I would also recommend the Cerwin-Vega HEDBK212 this will sound great and is tuned to the woofers.

  • is the 600w kicker + autotek bass package the same as this cause this is discontinued please reply

  • @benroll532 Essentially yes it is, but the Kicker Enclosure and Kicker amp was a better combo. This was due to the fact that the enclosure was specifically tuned to the subwoofers. However this new combo is still really good and has a good price on it.

  • im looking to get a set of 12inch kickers but i need a amp.. i am looking at a boss amp tht is 1100watts is that going to be a good amp for the subs?

  • @realsk8er22 If you are getting Kicker Comp subwoofers then yeah you should be fine. Two 12" Kicker comps will power handle 300W RMS total at either 2 ohm or 4 ohms final impedance. The Boss amplifier which I believe you are referring to the Boss CX1100M, will output 250W RMS at 2 ohms and 500W RMS at 4 ohms. I would strongly suggest a better amplifier, something like the MTX RFL300D, but if you are on a budget then you will be fine with the Boss amplifier.

  • so i can just hook up my 2 12" speakers straight up to my amp?

  • @MrJakediesel Yeah as long as you go with the correct amplifier and subwoofers. You want to make sure the amplifier is going to provide enough power at the correct impedance level so you can run the subwoofers safely and efficiently.

  • I really really need a question answered. I have 2 sony xplod 10's in a sealed box with a 1200 sony xplod amp. For my birthday, I'm getting 2 cvr 15's in a sealed box, I was wondering if i should get a new amp (hifonics brutus 1600) or keep the sony. From all over the interenet i keep seeing sony being bashed as the worst audio system. Also, for the 15's, ported or sealed enclosure?

    -Thanks so much.

  • @DubbyDrennan I would recommend getting a bigger amplifier, with two 15" CVR subs you will have a total power handling of 1000W RMS. If the Sony Xplod can do 1000W RMS then you wont need to upgrade but I highly doubt that a 1200W Max Sony Amp will do more than 600W RMS at 2 ohms. Get two DVC 4 ohm subs and a Brutus BRZ1200.1D amp. Runt them two a final impedance of 1 ohm. If you want deep bass go with ported, if you want precise and quick responsive bass go with a sealed enclosure.

  • @DubbyDrennan your ganna want a ported box cuz ur subs need ta breath and i have a 1700 watt cvr kicker and a 1200 watt sony explod both 12 inch and the box its in is sealed and like wen good bass goes on it like squeals or rattles and i did have my sony explod in a single sealed box and it blu the top of it off so yea i would go with the ported box

  • @SonicElectronixTV My 2 1200w xplod subs have 330w rms each and these kicker only 150w rms..what should i do? Sell my xplod and get these kickers or keep my xplod? My amp is a xplos xm-1252gtr 800watts peak but i want to upgrade to a 1200. Do you think 2 kicker comp can handle it?

  • @montsaintsauveur If you are unhappy with your Xplod then yeah upgrade but going from an Xplod to a comp isnt much of an upgrade. The RMS output will be about the same and the excursion levels will be about the same. If you are going to upgrade go to the CompVR and upgrade you amplifier as well. This would be a pretty big improvement and would produce much more bass.

  • @SonicElectronixTV Hey, do you thing these kicker's comp can take a 1200w sony xplod amp? Because i have 2 12`` sony xplod 1200w subwoofer and i got a deal on 2 kicker comp but i dont know what to do.

    Can you help me?

  • @montsaintsauveur If you have two Single 8 ohm Kicker comps and run them at 4 ohms final impedance, than yeah the amplifier can probably do that. The Sony Xplod amp should do about 300-350 at 4 ohms which would be perfect for two comps. However if you have 2 single 4 ohm comps and run them at 2 ohms final impedance the amplifier will probably provide too much power. So run the amp at 300-350W and run the subwoofers accordingly to that impedance.

  • Hey i want to install a 1000 watt subwoofer and amp in my porsche cayenne s i cant figure out how to do it could you please help me.

  • @MadTechzzTutorials Go with a RE Audio SXX10D4 in a sealed enclosure and a Boston Acoustics GTA-1000m. Your car as a lot of trunk space so this should be just fine. If you are worried about having to remove or change your dash, you can purchase the Kicker ZX10SUM8 which will let you integrate an aftermarket amplifier without the need of having to mess with you OEM system. Also you might want to check out your local installer to get a better of idea of the install is going to look like.

  • @SonicElectronixTV is there any way i could connect my subwoofer by removing the factory sub and connect the components to my 10000 watt sub.

  • @MadTechzzTutorials You really don't want to run your component speakers off your subwoofer. This will cause major distortion and you will them have to distribute the power between more applications. If you upgrade to a stronger subwoofer, the factory amplifier will just not be enough to power anything more than 200W RMS. Best way to do it is a new subwoofer and and a new amplifier.

  • whats the difference between the dx,zx znd ix kicker amplifiers? please comment back

  • @MrFOOTBALLMAN77 Really what it comes down to is efficiency. The IX amps are far more efficient than the DX amps. Also quality of components increases with each line. The higher the components used the better the amp performance and the better it deals with heat dispersion. ZX amplifiers are kind of the best of both worlds. Also IX amplifiers offer a much smaller foot print. All 3 series are great and CEA compliant, it really comes down to how efficient you want your amplifier to be.

  • hey i have a question... i going to get the kicker load enclosure on a couple of day. the rms for the kicker are

    300 Watt RMS

    600 Watts RMS max

and i have a 600 watt xplode amp

is that perfect for it? im just a noob at it =p

  • My amp powers these exact subs and my front component speakers. It rules. My amp is a true 100 watts. Couldn't be better.

  • man this would sound good!

  • my truck covers the port when i slide it in all the way. is that bad for the subwoofers?

  • @MrSky0224 Yes it is, it causes pressure to the voice coil cause it doesnt have enough space to flex... correct me if im wrong... but i know its not good..

  • @trevor11596 yes and no, if u cover the port completly the subs will run fine. they will esentially be running in a sealed box, but if the port is like half covered it may mess with the tuning and possibly change the dinamics of the tuning to make some frequencies dangerous the the subwoofer.

  • i have these speakers...is my PYLE PLA2210 overpowering them? just curious

  • Just got two of these from best buy, buy one get one free! Also bought a kicker zx400.1, hopefully pushing around 200 to each sub. Post vids when done. The amp has a birth sheet rating it at 492 max!

  • Will 2 12" Kicker Comps (like those above but 600 watt I think) work with a Kicker ZX750.1 amp well. thanks

  • Wat amp u think will be good to power two cvr 15

  • On your site, your not selling these subs and amp combo together anymore,

where can i go elsewhere to get both of them together?

  • they handle more than that i have a c15 with a 560 rms amp and i have no problems

  • These Kickers are probely the best subs I have ever had. Best Buy Ever!!!

  • 300.1 can't power 2 12s...

  • @atomdragon4 Actually, it can. Kicker Comp 12's more specifically. Each Kicker Comp 12" Subwoofer requires 150W of RMS power. Since we are using (2) Single 4 Ohm Kicker Comp 12" Subwoofers, this makes for a combined total of 300W RMS to properly drive these subwoofers at a final impedance of 2 or 8 Ohms. The Kicker ZX300.1 amplifier pushes out 300W RMS power @ 2 Ohms, making it a perfect matchup, recommended by Kicker. You might even be able to overpower it a bit, Kicker subs are durable.

  • @SonicElectronixTV

Are yall going to do this deal again?

  • @JustZach1 At this point we no longer have this deal but we do have many other combos that would be great. I actually would recommend the Kicker PES10C. It a single 12" Solo Classic in an amplified enclosure. Or the 600W Kicker + Renegade Bass Package, either of these will do great.

  • @atomdragon4 not a kicker anyways...a Rockford can (:

  • @chrisfoster4 Too right bro ;)

  • @atomdragon4 Fosgate for life ! i will NEVER own a kicker product (:

  • that shows how much you know...kicker rates their amps at RMS. IF you even know what that is. They dont stick MAX 3000 Watts on their shit to trick ppl like lets say hifonics or Lanzar or boss. The zx line is amazing. Watts is a fictitious rating that means nothing. Its about efficiency and Amperage and also quality. I have a 500.1 on two 15s and it pushes them to their limits, sounding amazing. Do some research.

  • @hshj04 I agree that it runs efficient without major dangers of smoking your subs, But I prefer my subs to be slightly over powered to ensure I can get output the subs full potential at necessary times. i.e competing.

  • i have the 10's they sound good for the price but i almost blew them the first day with a 400 wat mtx amp

  • Couldn't u push a lot more power into them tho?

  • @GmoneyToTheMax Kicker subwoofers have always been known for their durability. The Comp is their entry-level subwoofer and can still handle a hefty load of wattage but if you're going to use this sub for your daily driving you'll want to push no more than 200W of RMS power (to the 10" and 12" models). That means for two of them you can use an amplifier like the Kicker ZX400.1 as well. The 15" Sub can handle 250W each and if you want to overpower you can run about 275-300W to one.

  • i was looking to buy the Kicker C154 (10C154) - Buy One, Get One FREE! what kind of amp do you think i should get

  • @lilddelgado You can go with the Kicker ZX500.1. This amp will work perfectly with two 15" Single 4 Ohm Kicker Comps. If you wire them in parallel you'll have a final impedance of 2 ohms along and push a certified 500 watts of RMS power to the subwoofers.

  • i got the same box my sub box says 4 ohms by the port does that mean i give eeach sub 300 watts or 150 watts each ?

  • @xGoON16 You're going to want to give the subwoofers 150 watts each. The reason the terminals say 4 Ohms is because you have single 8 ohm subwoofers wired internally in parallel to a final impedance of 4 ohms. This means your amplifier will need to push 300 watts of RMS power at 4 ohms to be compatible.

  • is a kicker DX300.2 amplifier compatible with 2 kicker comp 12s wired at 2 ohms 300 watts rms? or wiring them at separate channels would be better?

  • @astatic8 The DX300.2 will work with 2 Kicker C128s as long as you are bridging the amp to 4 Ohms and are wiring the subswoofers in parallel. This will give you a final impedance of 4 Ohms on the subwoofers at 300W RMS. It is very important that you make sure you are purchasing the 8 Ohm Single Voice Coil subwoofers. If you already have 2 subs that will wire to 2 Ohms final impedance at 300W RMS you will want to go with the Kicker ZX300.1, which will give you 300W at 2 Ohms.

  • Does the zx400.1 come with the wired remote for the amp??

  • @MizterOrtiz The Kicker ZX400.1 has a wired bass remote input, however the amplifier itself does not come with a bass remote. The larger ZX amplifiers come with a bass remote, but a lot of their amps don't include bass remotes unfortunately. We carry these remotes separately on our website. Just type in 10ZXRC on our search bar on our webpage and it will pull it right up.

  • @SonicElectronixTV wats the differents between the kicker comp 07c124 and the 10c121

  • @k1ckfl19 The differences with the subwoofers are mostly cosmetic, since the Comps design is considered a standard for Kicker there wasn't much to improve upon. The subwoofer received some differences in the design such as a black frame along the surround and the charcoal brushed metal color design with the basket. It's differences aren't huge between the two, but it is something to consider.

  • The total impedance is 4 ohms. In the wire diagram chart that came with it said I could wire them to 8 ohms or 1 ohm or 2 ohms.

  • The subs are 4 ohms and dual voice coil... I planned on wiring the subs at 2 ohms. Just wasn't sure if my amp could drive them.

  • @RYES55 Two subwoofers with Dual 4 Ohm voice coils aren't able to be wired down to 2 Ohms. Your only wiring options are 1 or 4 Ohms if you connect all of the voice coils. It's tough to be able to tell if this setup will work properly even if they were wired down to 2 ohms. When the amplifiers and subwoofers are rated by the peak it's tough to tell if the products will even matchup since Peak and Max ratings are really tough to go by.

  • I already ordered the punch speakers, but my friend is interested in my kicker amp so can u please tell me whats the best amp to run my 3 punch p2 d210.

  • @dre37able With those subwoofers your best bet for an amplifier is one capable of roughly 800 watts of RMS power at 1 Ohm. When connected at 1.33 ohms you'll get a little less power, but still quite a bit. You're going to want to ensure the amplifier is rated correctly. Something like the Massive Audio N2 or the VIBE Audio BlackBox BASS4 would both work as great options.

  • Thanks for responding back, but if the 3 kicker comp arent compatible would 3 punch P2 D210 be compatible with the kicker ZX750.1....?

  • @dre37able The power ratings matchup, however with three Dual 2 Ohm subwoofers your final impedance would be 1.33 ohms, or 3 ohms. Which wouldn't be a good matchup. If you go with the Dual 4 Ohm model you can wire the subs together for a final impedance of 2.7 Ohms, which will get you closer to the rated power.

  • Are 3 10'' Kicker Comp speakers compatible with the Kicker 750.1?

  • @dre37able The ZX750.1 would be a bit too large for the Comps ratings. They might be able to handle it, but that's quite a bit of heat you would be putting into those voice coils. Each subwoofer would receive an additional 100 watts of RMS power. The ZX500.1 would be a better overall matchup so you wouldn't be at risk of damaging the woofers.

  • I have (2) brand x 700 watt RMS 1650 peak subs. And I was wondering if my legacy 1099 amp would power them.. It's a 4400 watt peak amp that's (4) channels. 1100 x 4 channels peak... Would I have to bridge them between 2 channels? Or to there individual channel?

  • @RYES55 Do the subwoofers have dual voice coils? Are they 4 ohm or 2 ohm subwoofers? This will completely change the wiring options and if it will work. If there are single voice coil then to work they should be single 4 ohms and you can just bridge the amp to run in 2 channel mode. If they are dual voice coil, they should be 2 ohms to work properly. They should power fine, but be careful since the rated power sounds somewhat mismatched.

  • -whats the best amp for a dual 15" kicker comp??

  • @htownswagga There's quite a few different amplifiers you can use for two 15" Kicker COMps. If you use the 4 Ohm models then you wire them in parallel down to 2 ohms and use an amplifier such as the Kicker ZX500.1. You can also use the Rockford Fosgate Prime R500-1, or the Pioneer GM-D8500M.

All of those amps would push the two Comps nicely and get you some awesome bass response.

  • -whats the best amp for a dual kicker comp??

  • can you still get a good amount of bass with only one kicker sub ?

  • @akghillie One subwoofer can still produce a ton of bass. It depends on a few factors, such as your vehicle, and bass preference. If a lot of bass to you is to be able to shake the car next to you, then you might want to consider one high powered Kicker subwoofer. If you want people outside of your car to hear the bass a bit then it's very easy for one subwoofer to be sufficient. Consider the CompVR or CompVX a more powerful Kicker sub. These require a larger amp then the Comp though..

  • hey guys i got a ???... i have a 15 inch kicker comp. and i dont know whether to hook up my performance teknique 1600 watt amp or my kicker zr360? which would get the job done? please let me know thanks

  • @vatzzup You'll get a bit of extra power from the ZR360 so be careful with the gains, but I'd recommend using the Kicker since it's an overall more quality amplifier. You just have to be careful from overpowering.

The ZR360 pushes 360 watts of RMS power at 4 ohms when bridged, so that will be a great matchup. Just be careful =P

  • hey mr sonice guy.... i thought that if u had two subs on one channel u dont divide the rms in half... sense they are on the same channel they get the same watts.... u can correct me if im wrong im sure that im not

  • @monkeybob69696969 Let's use the Kicker ZX300.1 as an example. This amplifier will push 300 watts of RMS power at 2 ohms to 1 chan. One subwoofer connected at 2 ohms will receive a full 300 watts. If you use two subwoofers though, how will each subwoofer receive 300 watts if the amp can only push 300W? Each subwoofer will receive 150W RMS. A perfect matchup for two 10" or 12" Single 4 Ohm Kicker Comps.

  • WHy in the world are these called comp subs? When kickers own brand the SOLO X, one solo x would easily kill 6 of these.

  • the cvr ones sound better

  • 3 people listen to classical music...

  • my box dont have a ported can i used or not?

  • @vatoloco123456able Yes you can! Sealed boxes can work very well with the Comp woofers. Just remember to follow the air space recommendations.

  • what can i do if the subwoofer box is to big for my car can i get any other box?

  • @vatoloco123456able You can get another box, just be sure to follow the recommended box volume that Kicker puts in their manuals. The 12" Comps work with 1-2.4 cubic feet for sealed boxes and 1.25-1.75 cubic feet for the ported. The other sizes of Comp will have different air space requirements. Be sure to follow those guidelines for each woofer and it will sound good.

  • i have a 2006 mustang and i found two 12" of these subs in a custom box on ebay, and i was wondering they say 300 watt peak single, and that seems kind of weak, my brother has mtx magnum 12" for his 04 mustang and i was wondering if these would sound better then the mtx subs? what wattage amp should i get if i do get these subs?

  • @nickschmidt101 Each 12" Kicker Comp woofer is rated at 150 watts RMS, which puts that enclosure at 300 watts RMS. The Magnum loaded enclosure is probably similar to the MB210SP which does 200 watts RMS (100 per sub). Overall, we would recommend the Kicker enclosure over the Magnum. It will sound louder and cleaner. The Kicker ZX300.1 would be the perfect amp for a pair of Kicker Comps. Hope this helps!

  • @SonicElectronixTV Thanks for the help! i was just wondering because my brothers is 1200 watt peak power, and he just got a new 1200 watt amp for it. It just seemed like the 1200 watts was a lot more then 300 rms; also does that mean that it is around 600 peak power?

  • @nickschmidt101 It could be. Without knowing the exact model number of your brother's system, it is hard to say what the RMS/Peak wattage is. Most of the time the peak is double the RMS, but not always (The Magnum MB210SP is 200 RMS / 800 Peak).

The best rule to follow is to match components based off of the RMS wattage ratings. Example, Two150 watt RMS subs wired together = 300 watts RMS. The best case is to match them with a 300 watt RMS amp.

  • Can you explain ohm and Rms?

  • @SHEVII18 It's tough to explain Ohms Law in a 500 character limit, but you can liken Ohms to resistance upon wattage. The higher the impedance, or Ohms, the lower amount of wattage. This is a very basic generalization so for more information on Ohms and how they affect car audio, check out our knowledge base found on our webpage. RMS means "Root Means Square" and this is the power your amp or speakers will see all day. Don't even look at peak power as it's usually an exaggerated figure.

  • Only 300watts?!? Loll i have 800watts

    And it sound perfectly

  • what does preloaded mean?

  • @mikestylz96 Preloaded means that the subwoofers are built-in to the enclosure. This helps because obviously the installation goes a lot easier, but the box is already built exactly to Kicker's specifications so you're subwoofers will sound much better!

  • @SonicElectronixTV Thanks. But what about a 4th order bandpass box? I am planning buliding one for my car and port it thru the rear deck. ( I want the bass in the interior, not in my trunk! ) Will any sub work or is there a specific sub that work's better in a bandpass? I am interested in 2 kicker 12's or the fosgate punch 12's. Does kicker or fosgate have an exact specifiction for a bandpass box?

  • @mikestylz96 I'd recommend checking the airspace you'll have available for each subwoofer and checking the subwoofers recommended airspace. Rockford Fosgate subwoofers are more specific with their box they can work in, but they can work in a pretty small amount of airspace. Good luck with that bandpass box!

  • ribbed surround... sounds like he's describing a condom lol!

  • can a zx350.2 kicker amp power this??? is it better to get a zx300.1??

  • @TRP3393 The ZX350.2 can still work for two Single 8 Ohm Kicker Comps. An extra 25 watts to each subwoofer won't hurt. Off the record, we have pushed much more than an extra 50 watts into these Kicker Comps before seeing any problems. We don't recommend pushing more power than what they're rated for, but we'll attest to their ability to handle it!

  • @SonicElectronixTV thanks for answering!

  • ive had these woofers on an infinity reference 1600a amplifier... these subs seem to have alot of troubles with this amplifier... maybe i might just blow them someday and make a video of it...

  • @lethal1 LOL!!

  • Kicker is pretty beast. I use their speaker wire, but i have Alpine subs instead. Still good though =D
