The Greek marines on the island had the orders to kill any intruders, but they where sent there with insufficient gear when they had received the sudden order to go on the island (first island), reports say even their night scopes did not work.
The F242 Yavuz type frigate launched the electronic attack to jam the Greek electronics systems, a 7 man crew managed to break down the enemy systems in 2.5 hours. The team of 18 left with 3 rubber boats and went pass the Greek ships to land on the island. The Greeks could only confirm this hours later at 05.00 in the morning! The breakdown of the Greek systems had 3 meanings:
1. A very big weak spot for the Greek navy, they could not stop enemy team intruding their area of control, even while they where in alarm phase of war.
2. Their entire electronic system was paralyzed. For instance the missile defense decoy systems where out of order. Their systems where out of order and unable to detect the Turkish troops until 05.00 in the morning.
3. It was a huge loss of prestige, while even ended without blood spilling the Greek navy took a blow.
