Perfect speaker = No Distortion, Awsome Transient Response and 1Hz - 50Khz Freq Response +/- 0 db. BAM! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! We can only dream, I know.
@MegaToyy The MR5 and MR8 do not support multiple voltage configurations. There are separate models available that work in a 220V environment. You would need to purchase the monitors from a dealer in a country with that configuration. What country do you live in? I can get you a contact to find a dealer in your area.
I also think the bass is too dominant, which would not be a problem if it was controlled bass. But it is not. It is sloppy. I sorted it out by stuffing a pair of socks in each bass port hole at the back. Fine now.
@richgilb1 have you ever tried listening to behringer b2031A, krk rp8 and mr8 with stuffed socks? which will you choose for bass heavy music production like trance music?
I bought Pair of this monitors, it's really detailed, But it has a problem, there is too much bass even when I use the rear panel to cut the low freq, it's still has too much low freq. I should Admit that I haven't tried them in a good acoustic room yet. as far as i used it till now that's what i can say.
I just bought a pair of these. Very nice "Near Professional" grade monitors. I'm willing to bet there aren't many monitors that come close for $150 and piece.
This video doesn't contain any information that the spec sheet doesn't have already. Its fluff, nothing personal woody. People watch these videos because they already know the spec sheet, at least I did. Kept waiting for the meat and potatoes, but it never came. Keep searching I guess.
@Murat1158 don't record vocals with monitors on, otherwise your microphone will record your voice along with your voice coming from the monitors.

Kapseros 1 year ago
@Kapseros Yes, they go up to 115 decibel, which is insanely loud (mr8's dunno about the mr5's).

A lot of people compare these to KRK monitors but these are better in terms of overall frequency response and accuracy.

areverga123 2 years ago
you wont need one :) they have plenty of bass to tell you what your trying to create.

Yea..it has inputs.
kizm0 2 years ago
why Mackie doesnt have MR6, coz i prefer to have 6" woofer.
stilljey23 2 years ago
because mackie doesn't make their monitors especially for you. 5" is plenty, and 8" is great. want a 6"? get something else.
