  • HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE JJ Os into MPC 1000? PLEASE VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!

  • Work it

  • if you guys aren't aware of what JJ os is, google it and figure it out. it can only be used on the 1000 and 2500 and it makes either machine far superior to a 5000.

JJ is my favorite thing about life. yes i live a strange life.

  • hello man, good video, can we put a hard drive on a 4.99 JJ OS version of the mpc ?

  • how exactly do u install jjos1 i downloaded it but dont know how to install...

  • work it...never

  • the mpc is meant for hip hop not for faggot techno kids

  • @Gomarshit its a damn sampler you idiot. it's meant for music!

  • @Gomarshit It can do a hell of a lot more than rip shit from records & call it hip hop. Try sampling your own work to create sounds you couldn't have made otherwise. Oh, wait. What am I saying? You're into hip hop....so you're not into creating original music that goes beyond such cutting edge lyrics as "UH.....Yeah....Come on." LOL

  • @GanEdenAustralia Likewise. Simply calling the video "garbage" isn't exactly helpful either...which was exactly my point to begin with.

  • 2 questions for you

    1. whats jj os?

    2. where do you get your samples ofline ect??? thanks much man

  • 1 The JJos 1 but don't remember the exact release

2 I get my samples online over tons of site or I make from my preferred songs

  • @lasercicalone Hey, I'm thinking of purchasing an MPC 1000 2.12. How good are they? Does it come with a sampler? I'd really appreciate a response. Thanks ;)

  • The Mpc 1000 is good, today the price of 5000 and 2000 are falling down you can buy one of these with a little difference of money

  • @lasercicalone What about an MPC 1000 with 2.12? WHat u think of that...

  • Depend how much money you pay, the 5000 is better a cost a little more, the 2500 is better too and cost about the same price

  • @Ch3ckDaTechnique Go with the JJ OS. You'll have many more tools than the v2.1 OS offers. Trust me, I own one, & I'm in the process of upgrading myself. Having things like ADSR envelopes, & drum grid editing etc... are NOT available on the stock V2.1 OS. You'll have to upgrade yourself AFTER you buy the stock MPC, unless you buy it preinstalled used.

  • @lasercicalone the 1000 is just as good as the 2000

  • @Ch3ckDaTechnique does it come with a sampler lol

    it IS a sampler!!!

  • @ProphetRayza Ok...You can't be any older than 13. Some people new to music technology wouldn't know that. He's a newbie asking questions to find out what's best for him to get started with. I'm absolutely positive you were in the same boat a year or two ago, except you probably didn't have the guts to ask questions for fear of embarrassing yourself in front of the other idiots you associate with.

  • @937emotion Relax bud, have a smile :)

  • @Ch3ckDaTechnique It's a sampler/sequencer. I take it what you're really asking is whether or not you'll be able to turn out top quality work with this. It definitely gives you the tools to do that. But I would definitely upgrade the OS to the JJos. Have fun & Good luck!

  • @Freakazoid565

JJ OS is an aftermarket operating system for the mpc 1000, just goole JJ OS and the first link it's the official site for Japanese Jenius, which is what JJ stands for. The JJ OS offers a lot of tools that the AKAI stock OS doesn't, things like timestretching, and it has a way nicer way to cut, loop and chop samples. Version 3.8 from JJ is FREE, the latest ones cost around 40 bucks, but definitely worth it. As for samples, you can make them yourself, check out my page.

  • how much was ur hard drive and how did you install it ?

  • the hard drive was 80 GB, to install you need to buy an optional rack mount from Akai for insert the HD inside, usually cost 50$

  • where can i find the jj o.s. for a 2500?

  • Google: JJ OS MPC 2500 & click on the very first search result.

The JJ Os for the 2500 is either the free version (3.09) or the Os XL version for $113 dollars.

    Happy Choppin'....

  • thanks man

  • genelec monitors NIICE!

  • im running jjos 5.41 in my 2500 and its so much better than the akai o.s so any1 with a mpc 1000/2500 i recomend upgrading to the jjos its alott faster to chop up samples

  • where are those effects coming from ?

  • Samples from Vengeance collection

  • what is your mixer called

  • Alesis 16 ch Usb version

  • what dos the jj os do?

and does this come with it?

  • Use Google and search JJ os you can reach the jj os official site, the faq and comparison chart can help you

  • i got a practically brand new 1000 in the box for sale.

  • how much are u looking to sell for?

  • WHERE DO U GET SAMPLES FROM....Do i need a Disk or do i need DJ equipment ??

  • You can sample from every source you want, from a cd to a synth and if you want you can download samples from Internet and then transfer via usb cable to the Mpc

  • thanks and do you know how much the MPC1000 is?? and the MPC2500??

  • The price of Mpc 1000 and 2500 depend in which country you live, I suppose you are from Usa and the price in that case are about 1200$ for Mpc 1000 and 1800$ for Mpc 2500 but I'm not sure.

  • ok thanks man i might get the MPC2500 because the MPC5000 is to much haha

  • you can get samples anywhere dude

go to limewire and download the song you want

    and chop it up

  • i cant see how much better the jj OS from your music altho it had a nice kick to it. what features does it have that isnt on the original os etc?

  • There are tons of features that JJ OS have more than original OS, but it's very difficult to explain in a simple video, look the JJ OS website for a comparison chart

  • what about that track board???? what it is and how much is it?

  • It's the Akai Mpc 1000 and usually does it cost 600 Euro

  • Hi, in this video I have only used the Akai Mpc 1000, no external effects or other gears, the sound is straight from Mpc and in this case I have used only a little part of the power of this gear.

The only difference between the Mpc 1000 standard is the Os in my case I use a custom Os done by JJ.

Genelec are the best, my previous speakers was the Krk.

  • Hi, nice vid hope you do some more, did u use any external effects ? Is this straight sound from the mpc ? Did u use any other gear ? By the way i have the same monitors. These genelecs are way better then the KRK Rockits
