Does anyone know how I can bring my songs from the MPC1000 to the computer in wav format? I am operating on JJOS v3.12 and I can't seem to find the manual.
if you guys aren't aware of what JJ os is, google it and figure it out. it can only be used on the 1000 and 2500 and it makes either machine far superior to a 5000.
JJ is my favorite thing about life. yes i live a strange life.
@Gomarshit It can do a hell of a lot more than rip shit from records & call it hip hop. Try sampling your own work to create sounds you couldn't have made otherwise. Oh, wait. What am I saying? You're into hip hop....so you're not into creating original music that goes beyond such cutting edge lyrics as "UH.....Yeah....Come on." LOL
@lasercicalone Hey, I'm thinking of purchasing an MPC 1000 2.12. How good are they? Does it come with a sampler? I'd really appreciate a response. Thanks ;)
@Ch3ckDaTechnique Go with the JJ OS. You'll have many more tools than the v2.1 OS offers. Trust me, I own one, & I'm in the process of upgrading myself. Having things like ADSR envelopes, & drum grid editing etc... are NOT available on the stock V2.1 OS. You'll have to upgrade yourself AFTER you buy the stock MPC, unless you buy it preinstalled used.
@ProphetRayza Ok...You can't be any older than 13. Some people new to music technology wouldn't know that. He's a newbie asking questions to find out what's best for him to get started with. I'm absolutely positive you were in the same boat a year or two ago, except you probably didn't have the guts to ask questions for fear of embarrassing yourself in front of the other idiots you associate with.
@Ch3ckDaTechnique It's a sampler/sequencer. I take it what you're really asking is whether or not you'll be able to turn out top quality work with this. It definitely gives you the tools to do that. But I would definitely upgrade the OS to the JJos. Have fun & Good luck!
JJ OS is an aftermarket operating system for the mpc 1000, just goole JJ OS and the first link it's the official site for Japanese Jenius, which is what JJ stands for. The JJ OS offers a lot of tools that the AKAI stock OS doesn't, things like timestretching, and it has a way nicer way to cut, loop and chop samples. Version 3.8 from JJ is FREE, the latest ones cost around 40 bucks, but definitely worth it. As for samples, you can make them yourself, check out my page.
im running jjos 5.41 in my 2500 and its so much better than the akai o.s so any1 with a mpc 1000/2500 i recomend upgrading to the jjos its alott faster to chop up samples
You can sample from every source you want, from a cd to a synth and if you want you can download samples from Internet and then transfer via usb cable to the Mpc
The price of Mpc 1000 and 2500 depend in which country you live, I suppose you are from Usa and the price in that case are about 1200$ for Mpc 1000 and 1800$ for Mpc 2500 but I'm not sure.
There are tons of features that JJ OS have more than original OS, but it's very difficult to explain in a simple video, look the JJ OS website for a comparison chart
Hi, in this video I have only used the Akai Mpc 1000, no external effects or other gears, the sound is straight from Mpc and in this case I have used only a little part of the power of this gear.
The only difference between the Mpc 1000 standard is the Os in my case I use a custom Os done by JJ.
Genelec are the best, my previous speakers was the Krk.
Hi, nice vid hope you do some more, did u use any external effects ? Is this straight sound from the mpc ? Did u use any other gear ? By the way i have the same monitors. These genelecs are way better then the KRK Rockits
MPC + Sherman !!! done.
