I really admire what you're doing and am a member of the WTF group on facebook. I have a similar story. My dad recently lost his fight with lung cancer. He was a never smoker. I tell anyone who will listen about lung cancer being the number one cancer killer and the least funded.

I hope your mom beats this horrible disease.
