Hello. I am Looking for people who would play EUROPA UNIVERSALIS 3 divine wind (also hoi3 and vic2) but Mainly EU3 game.
We would be playing via Hamachi, very easy programme to install and play.So if anyone is interested i'd be glad to contact me , just send me PM on Youtube or reply to this comment for more Info.(prefered active people, tho everyone is absolutely welcome)also if there is any active network that would do games often i 'd join with all the people i get via this message.
The only paradox game I own is HOI2. I'll give it a 7/10. As a small country you have slim changes of having a big effect on how the game turns out. Also get easily steamrolled by superpowers. As superpowers you matter, but the micromanagement of your armies is... well, not enjoyable to me. Plus AI is sometimes quite stupid and the game is too event driven.
So how is Victoria II compared to HOI2? The main thing for me would be much less mircromanagement of the military.
nice Bismarck quote with a twist [origanle quot "the great matters of the day will not be settled by means of votes or majority decisions, but by blood and iron"] [new quote "rule by iron, conquer through blood"] also epic cover with Bismarck
The game is unplayable. Frequent crashes to desktop especially on multicore processors, the industry is bugged and the trade also. i haven't been able see any political/diplomatic bug because i couldn't play that long (frequent CTD).
the game is nearly unplayable. at 1point every three seconds somewhere on the map appear rebels, although the defeat easily. but you can't do anything else
Nerf all rebels in general (I dont want this game to be a war against yourself, and I dont think three rebel groups after revolting for a total of 800k rebels in my Japan game and getting absolutely crushed will want to try that again in the future, and it also crippled Russia, who is permanently rebeled but it wont end because rebels cant manage to take the capital) , fix the economy issue, make it more playable for small states, optimize, and would be amazing.
@the343totalitarian do the rebel events happen according to history? or "triggers" in EU? say your 800k rebellion might be triggered by the samurai rebellion in Satsuma?
I just played the game and so far it's great, but i cant find the open negotiations option in diplomacy. Does it still exist??? That's one of the things i particularly enjoyed in Vicky 1
@Vulkaye you know what i was wondering the same thing i never played those game but very interested in those and im wondering witch one i should take victoria 2 or EUIII both looks rly cool
Well after trying both I'd have to say Victoria 2 besides that it's full of bugs and the retarded capitalist AI it's still an awesome game, I'm pretty sure most of these bugs will be fixed in patch 1.2.
once u get adapted to paradox games there is no turning back, u won't ever play another strategy or if u do you will notice how inconsistent they are.
Music on first game was amazing, add that with the dramatic music on the trailer and it will be amazing. Thank god for paradox. Where else can play an epic hostorical strategy game, whilst reliving or changing history (Play as mexico and stop US empire etc.)
Why cant this company just make one game that would put all 3 games in one?why not make it start from eropean universalis all the way to harts of iron?or even better make it start from the roman age.they have all this games why not put them together to form one big cool game?
They would have to make every country ever and put it into the game. And since so many military/economic/social changes occurred, the game would have to have 'stages' that would basically be separate games. Plus they couldn't put any historical events because the point of diversion from history is so early. Lastly, it would be possible to prevent the Dark Ages from ever happening. Instead of having tech levels, they'd therefore have to split it into individual inventions.
@ScarcticCG Then I hope you like tears. Because Victoria 2 uses the same engine as HOI 3 and Paradox has already said that a similar PC is needed to run both games.

this is basically a faggier version of Arsenal of democracy. Or in other words, an excuse to make millions of low IQ losers pay more money to paradox for the same game slightly tweeked.
Ehm.. Stupic? Arsenal of Democracy is all about war, it's 20th century and so on. Victoria is politics, economy, war, diplomacy. Everything. This will by far be a MUCH more greater experience then AoD!
@FFulmenTheFinnish I've logged 20 hours in AoD and Victoria II and prefer Victoria II for the same reason he does, it provides economic simulation. AoD is fun with friends when you want to mess around in scenarios like the 48 Arab-Israeli War, Victoria is where it's fun to industrialize.
@PObserver I've logged over 2 369 hours in HoI2:DD, over 349 hours in AoD and several dozen hours in Vicky 2. AoD/HoI has many things Vicky 2 will never have and vice versa. I prefer AoD because I'm more into the 20th century and warfare/politics.
Nice OPINION you got there, too bad that's all it is. If you don't want to take part in it that's cool, to each his own, no one is forcing you to play the game when it comes out or to even watch the youtube videos for it...*cough*
@ScaredPiglet believe me...people who plays Paradox games (HoI, Vicky, EU, etc) are way over the average Joe who thinks Total War games are Historically Accurate.
I'd bet at least 95% of the people who buy and support Paradox games also bought the Total War games. And for your info, the total war games are designed to give people medieval warfare with the freedom of remaking history as they please just like in the HOI games.
