  • The only paradox game I own is HOI2. I'll give it a 7/10. As a small country you have slim changes of having a big effect on how the game turns out. Also get easily steamrolled by superpowers. As superpowers you matter, but the micromanagement of your armies is... well, not enjoyable to me. Plus AI is sometimes quite stupid and the game is too event driven.

So how is Victoria II compared to HOI2? The main thing for me would be much less mircromanagement of the military.

  • Vicky, EU and HoI are very different games. Its entirely possible to like all 3 without belittling any of the 3.

  • does this game need patches like hoi3 does and is it worth getting?

  • @ZombieSlayer1210 it has 3 patches, and the game is so fucking good way better than hoi.

  • I LOVEEEE PARADOX ENTERTAINMENT!!!

  • nice Bismarck quote with a twist [origanle quot "the great matters of the day will not be settled by means of votes or majority decisions, but by blood and iron"] [new quote "rule by iron, conquer through blood"] also epic cover with Bismarck

  • chek this mod out !!! watch?v=_r1tk1UVBSQ its awesome!!!

  • hi guys i wonder how do i make soo fraps record a longer time becus my recording i s verey short :S

  • I know the music

    name?

  • take Ethiopia and you will dominate the world ahahahahah

  • @FascistSoldier

I've done that in Europa Universalis, it was a pretty long game. :D

  • @orasis hahahaha xD you are good my friend xD i never have finished my saves of Victoria II

because after 1900 the game starts to slow LOL and my pc have a good configuration,

I have problems of performace with Victoria II and Hearts of Iron :(

Funny is see Ethiopia in Holy Roman Empire in the Europa Universalis xD

  • the song have a name ; what its the name in that case ???

  • The game is unplayable. Frequent crashes to desktop especially on multicore processors, the industry is bugged and the trade also. i haven't been able see any political/diplomatic bug because i couldn't play that long (frequent CTD).

  • Paradox i beg you fix the problems with the industry and the rebels :(

  • the game is nearly unplayable. at 1point every three seconds somewhere on the map appear rebels, although the defeat easily. but you can't do anything else

  • @damuddaistseineaa Thats the shit. Rebels and the stupid indutrsy which appears in all countries making the AI foes weaker.

  • hey, does anyone else here have the problem that whenever you try to introduce a minimum wage, 80% of your factories go bankrupt within a few months?

  • @outcastofhell Sounds like real life.

  • Nerf all rebels in general (I dont want this game to be a war against yourself, and I dont think three rebel groups after revolting for a total of 800k rebels in my Japan game and getting absolutely crushed will want to try that again in the future, and it also crippled Russia, who is permanently rebeled but it wont end because rebels cant manage to take the capital) , fix the economy issue, make it more playable for small states, optimize, and would be amazing.

  • @the343totalitarian do the rebel events happen according to history? or "triggers" in EU? say your 800k rebellion might be triggered by the samurai rebellion in Satsuma?

  • If you like strategic games you must try this one. I love strategic games and this one is my favourite!

  • They have to make game like from 0.ad to XII :F

  • I just played the game and so far it's great, but i cant find the open negotiations option in diplomacy. Does it still exist??? That's one of the things i particularly enjoyed in Vicky 1

  • Should I get this one or complete EUIII (all expansions)?

  • @Vulkaye you know what i was wondering the same thing i never played those game but very interested in those and im wondering witch one i should take victoria 2 or EUIII both looks rly cool

  • @TheVirtualmax

Well after trying both I'd have to say Victoria 2 besides that it's full of bugs and the retarded capitalist AI it's still an awesome game, I'm pretty sure most of these bugs will be fixed in patch 1.2.

  • < complete Soundtrack (OST) Album & Playlist of Victoria 2

  • is this going to be released on steam??

  • @Herrenhandtasche35 It's on steam right now. Go buy it and you'll get victoria 1 for free

  • it looks like its going to be the best game ever made by paradox

  • I played today the demo of the game it's realy cool, if someone whatn's to see go to my channel

  • Comment removed

  • I Uploaded the Victoria 2 Soundtrack

  • I fell in love with Paradox games with Europa Unerversailles 3 Complete, I hope this game is as good as it was.

  • Does this go through ww1?!!!

  • @GenralKuribayashi It goes to 1935. So, yes it will. WWI will have it's own starting date.

  • once u get adapted to paradox games there is no turning back, u won't ever play another strategy or if u do you will notice how inconsistent they are.

  • @ju4nito completely true paradox interactive games are amazingly fun and deep

  • Stalin gets this game!

  • @D3adtrap Lol, yay for josefVstalin's channel! haha

  • Reminds me of Empire Total War but focuses more on the "Grand Scheme" of things :P

  • @WindJackell

but a mixture of both would be even better. empire military vicky the rest.

  • Music on first game was amazing, add that with the dramatic music on the trailer and it will be amazing. Thank god for paradox. Where else can play an epic hostorical strategy game, whilst reliving or changing history (Play as mexico and stop US empire etc.)

  • 0:20 makes me sad :C

  • I truly hope that they have the correct colonies/ King of Portugal this time :P

    Me wants it!!!

  • good

  • Why cant this company just make one game that would put all 3 games in one?why not make it start from eropean universalis all the way to harts of iron?or even better make it start from the roman age.they have all this games why not put them together to form one big cool game?

  • @kxr21007 thats what mods are for

  • @kxr21007

They would have to make every country ever and put it into the game. And since so many military/economic/social changes occurred, the game would have to have 'stages' that would basically be separate games. Plus they couldn't put any historical events because the point of diversion from history is so early. Lastly, it would be possible to prevent the Dark Ages from ever happening. Instead of having tech levels, they'd therefore have to split it into individual inventions.

  • @kxr21007 it's nice to imagine it but if you think about it it will cost to much money.

  • @kxr21007 THIS IDEA PLEASES ME

  • This had better not end up pulling a HOI3 on me; I swear, if this thing does not run on my laptop that I am going to cry myself to sleep for months.

  • @ScarcticCG Get a fucking desktop low-ender noob.

  • @ScarcticCG Buy a new one...

  • @ScarcticCG Then I hope you like tears. Because Victoria 2 uses the same engine as HOI 3 and Paradox has already said that a similar PC is needed to run both games.

  • ya i dint like AoD nd i pld HOI3 2 much ive always wanted 2 do a WW1 senario as germany

  • AAAAAAAAAA!!!! I can't wait anymore!!! It will be the best global strategy ever!!!!

  • Ehm.. Stupic? Arsenal of Democracy is all about war, it's 20th century and so on. Victoria is politics, economy, war, diplomacy. Everything. This will by far be a MUCH more greater experience then AoD!

  • @Davisx3m Says the guy who's never played AoD :P

  • @FFulmenTheFinnish I've logged 20 hours in AoD and Victoria II and prefer Victoria II for the same reason he does, it provides economic simulation. AoD is fun with friends when you want to mess around in scenarios like the 48 Arab-Israeli War, Victoria is where it's fun to industrialize.

  • @PObserver I've logged over 2 369 hours in HoI2:DD, over 349 hours in AoD and several dozen hours in Vicky 2. AoD/HoI has many things Vicky 2 will never have and vice versa. I prefer AoD because I'm more into the 20th century and warfare/politics.

  • @Davisx3m sounds cool

  • @TheSilver99 It is! But this far Victorica 1 is still better then Vicky 2.

But hopefully mods will make Vicky 2 even better.

  • @ScaredPiglet

Nice OPINION you got there, too bad that's all it is. If you don't want to take part in it that's cool, to each his own, no one is forcing you to play the game when it comes out or to even watch the youtube videos for it...*cough*

  • @ScaredPiglet believe me...people who plays Paradox games (HoI, Vicky, EU, etc) are way over the average Joe who thinks Total War games are Historically Accurate.

  • I'd bet at least 95% of the people who buy and support Paradox games also bought the Total War games. And for your info, the total war games are designed to give people medieval warfare with the freedom of remaking history as they please just like in the HOI games.

  • is that something liek civilization ? or si totally different? you have to built towns,infrastructures..

  • For starters, it's not turned based.

  • Ronaldo

  • cant wait!

  • Going to pre-order this one. ^^

  • Can't wait for this gem to hit the shelves!

  • How is it diff from Vicky Revolutions?

  • It will have better graphics, be compatible with HoI3, and I'm sure will have refined and new features.

  • I can't stop watching it, Andreas Waldetoft has done it again!

  • Yes, yes, Yes!, Yes!, YES, YES, YES!, YES!, YESSSSSS!!!!!!! I want to play this sooooo bad when it comes out!!!

  • Awesome world war 1 i have always hoped you guys would make game for that. Just dont release it untill its really ready :)

  • yes, it goes up to 1935

  • it says 19th century, but shows ww1. Does it go into the 20th?

  • @bigj687 If you had clicked 'more info' on the right you would have been able to read that.

  • @bigj687 It goes from 1836 to around 1920

  • @Furengi Expansion packs solve issue.

  • @Furengi That's 1936. 100 years.

  • @Furengi 1836-1935 is what I assume the date is.

  • Sound like a good imaginable game in 19century.nice.

  • YEEEES YEEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!/ been waiting forever!

  • Awesome! Just hope it isnt as buggy as hoi3 :D

  • Hey Gonzo!

    -curtis

  • Niiice :D

  • bah expected to see new stuff but nothing new here.

  • Can't wait!!!!

  • Can't wait to play as the UK and attack America during the Civil War. Not the fairest fight there is, but to quote Al Davis, "just win, baby."

  • I think the related videos match this very good. "sexy shesmale victoria 2" :p

  • I wanna play that game! :(

  • Go on! :)

  • Cool =) I really look forward to it.
