I hate to say this, but I am becoming less excited for this game. It just doesn't look like final fantasy. It probably will be way better than this trailer, but I just wasn't impressed. Sure, the visuals look nice, but the story line from what I got looks far below final fantasy standards. Please say they have an ingenious story line in it. After all, that's what we all love about Final Fantasy. Also, I think Final Fantasy XIII versus looks a LOT better.

A gunblade like Squall's has the gun part directly attached to the blade using the gun part merely as a firing mechanism. Lightning's variant transforms completely from one form to the other.

-During battles you can use the right stick to change camera view

-NPCs have voices

-Nomura: "just a little exciting scene"

-Battle: O to Confirm, X to cancel, Triangle to Use stocked setting action

-Battle: You can probably defeat weak enemies with O button mashing

-Battle: The attack of your companions changes with the movement of your character

I'm starting to think this is goin to have random encounters again. It'd be more fun than how FFXI & XII were. Like how it used to be up till FF, except when the screen changes out to the battle, this happens. :D Though that's as much as I'm guessing from what I seen. All the enviroment seem like they were meant for only battle, and the menu & bars, and at one point how every good party member were lined up as was the enemy. Like 2:12 for example. It would be nice if that were true.

I know alot of people are hating on the game b/c of the changes made...so its no longer a "True FF" (whatever that means) but FF has always been about pushing gaming to another level and this certainly meets that. Look, I can vaguely understand the elitist joy that comes with having awesome exclusives on the platform of your choice, but Final Fantasy is a series that everyone should enjoy.

Since the PS3 is the worst-selling of the three consoles, at least in America, it makes sense for Square to release a few games on other systems.

Hell, as PS3 owners, we're getting a lot of good formerly-XBOX exclusives, like Last Remnant and Tales of Vesperia.

Of course this is once again another game based on perfectionism. At 2:05 these 3 atacks are spend with one big atack.

Theres always a comand with the triangle buttom.

you can see that each action has a number, must of them a number "1" but at 2:10 he selects one with a 3 and the 3 slots are used and a powerful atack is done.

Well see, I personally enjoyed FFX-2 because of it's laid back non-solemn storyline. It was fresh and actually didn't make me an emotional wreck. (unlike previous titles). And of course not everything that Nomura touches is pure Gold same goes for any big name artist. That's just common sense. I just feel that this game will stand out because the protagonist is not your run of the mill "Yuna" or "Rinoa" with an extra dab of sugar. Like I said, we'll see.

Hmm, your guys' comments are interesting! I guess I suck at FFXII cause I still havent finished t, but that's because 1) its boring, 2) the end game weapons are mind numbingly hard to get and 3) then end game monsters are frikkin' insanely hard. I refuse to finish it until I have the final weapons for my main 3 fighters. Anyways I didnt like the fighting system or the magic or the summons. They all lacked the grandeur and power of previous FF's.. heres hoping for FFXIII!

Since Tetsuya Noumura's Development team is behind this game (unlike FFXII) I'm actually going to buy this game. FFXII is one of the very few FF titles that my family does not own because of its tasteless storyline. FFXIII is going to be a blockbuster and Square knows it.

Having Tetsuya Nomura on the team doesn't really make me feel any better tbh. I'm not convinced he's able to do any original storytelling since most and all of his games branch off previous titles. Even Kingdom Hearts seems like an overly dramatic anime with popular characters thrown into the mix. I hope it's a good game, but Nomura on the team isn't raising my hopes.

usally in the FF series the thing that gets me through the whole game is the great story I didn't even care about the gameplay as long as i got the cut scene but 12 was just god awful the battle system, the summonings and the story.

half the time in the story their discussing politicle problems where the hells my magic, where the hells my moral conflicts and why doesn't any one seem evil in that game for some reason i couyldn't hate the villian in that game.
