Todo el album es maravilloso pero abrir con esta canción llena de emoción...no pudo haberme gustado mas, ademas me encanta su voz cargada de dramatismo... ¡¡¡¡es uno de mis discos favoritos por siempre!!!!!
No matter how many times I hear this song, it puts me into a trance. I'm sitting here at my desk formatting Excel spreadsheets and I'm instantly transported to a calm and centered place where the spiritual is sensual.
As someone who focuses on goddess imagery for my spiriuality I find so much divinity in this song and album. Truly beautiful.
I agree, DeepUnreal, this is his best. Not many make this sort of music anymore. That, or I'm not looking hard enough. I'm always open to recommendations...
the way he is singing in this song adn the rest of the album is so beautiful and it sounds just like the voices that echo out of the mosques in Turkey every day.
yes "Original" Middle Eastern/Arabic type of singing and the reason i said original is that now they cant sing they just too busy being "sexy" and not caring about the music the reason why i dont listen to Arabic music anymore lol
Low and Behold: He was and Still is my Love of all time. I converted 12 years ago never knowing he had also and all that time it was his lyrics that led me into questioning many aspects about our society and Beliefs. Later after I converted I was shocked to learn that my Passion concerning music (Peter) had Converted as well, It was the Lyrics in his older Music that will guide anyone that believes that there is a reality to our existence (Love Hysteria) was the Platform for both of us...Peace
@Ckordobah 2 my mind, trading Christianity, or I should really make the distinction and say Catholicism for Islam is akin to giving up heroin for crack cocaine. One is as bad as the other. I'm sorry to have to say that Peter Murphy is probably no more "enlightened" than you or I. Don't forget, only a few years ago he felt that his newly found Islamic sensibilities no longer allowed him to perform certain Bauhaus songs. Yet, when I went to see them 4 years ago, he appeared to have no such qualms
@Ckordobah In my admittedly not very humble opinion, it's invariably a big mistake to look to rock stars for some kind of spiritual guidance. Just ask Bob Dylan fans; a man who went through religions like traffic lights! Its quite apparent just by listening to his singing voice that his conversion to Islam has done nothing to lessen Peter Murphy's very sizable ego. I suspect this played a not insignificant part in Bauhaus's break up (again!) Btw, I am a big fan!
OH MY GOD! When I first here this song my chest was pounding!!!!!!! I love that song from begining to end!!! When I first heard it from the part with the sting instoment! My heart was pounding and I had to sit back!
Awesome! He finished with this song at his Buffalo show last week. Not many knew what the heck was happening!! Everyone waiting for Final solution and he finished with this...MAGIC!
I love his Dust album, I was raised listening to Turkish music, (my dads turkish i was born in istanbul) and when i figured out that Mercan Dede and Peter Murphy made an album together i was so happy and i couldnt wait to here it!!!
I know what you mean. I remember, before the album came out, Metropolis had a 30-second clip of Things To Remember up. The first time I heard that, there were chills, and it wasn't even the whole song!

Try listening to Rajna and Am'ganesha'n. Peter's music is what led me to finding these two groups, among many others.

Peter Murphy is into Sufi Islam; I think that's where his inspiration for these sounds come from.

Amazing musicians on this track, Hugh Marsh on violin and Michael Brook on guitar. This song is transcendant!

The Dust album is a thing apart, a masterpiece. A thrill on first hearing, and no less satisfying over time.

I always feel a sadness when I realize that I can never hear this album 'for the first time' ever again.
To me, Peter's musical career was a build up to this album.

The more I listen to it, the more this album becomes my favorite of Peter Murphy's solo albums.

Peter's voice matches very well in this Arabic mood. This album is a masterpiece.
