Thank you so much. When I first researched the history behind this piece, I had already seen a news documentary claiming that Sir Winston had actually known about the impending assault on Coventry three days prior, but that he purposely kept quiet and failed to evacuate the city because he was afraid to "tip off" the Nazi's that Royal Intelligence had broken the German's code. But alas, as it turns out, the sources are not reliable, and thus the poem is much shorter than originally planned.
