Mike, I love listening to your personal stuff as well the AS news digest that you work so hard on. It's great! But there is some kind of technical problem which means your postings don't agree with my computer. I think that there too much bit info for me to handle. Other channels, most of them seem to work fine but your stuff is constantly interrupted with tiny pauses which means I have to listen intensely to understand what you are talking about.

The meteor showers were spectacular! Sorry you missed them. Time in the wild really paid off. About 30 meteors the first night and 50 the second. Lost count. Long tails on some seemed to stretch for a half mile or more from my vantage. I hoped for aurora borealis, but the meteor showers were a satisfying consolation. Blood moon, too.

Overtime is common in hard times. Employers don't want to hire more people so the one's they have often get nailed with overtime whether they want it or not. I've recently worked 3 weekends in a row before things slacked off enough to get some time off. Pretty weird how that works.
