For me, it's very difficult to understand why people think Attila is a better vocalist than Dead. Dead's vocals on tracks like Freezing Moon had a growl that is sorely (and, for black metal, inexcusably) missing from the versions with Attila. Attila makes Qorthon's vocals on early Bathory tracks like "War" and "Satan my Master" sound menacing and harsh by comparison--and those are from 1984! Before judging me on this, at least look those songs up first.
