It is not "moleskain"!

The name is french and you say "moleskeen" (with a itsy bitsy tiny "a" at the end).

The name comes from the fabric it is made of.

I don´t know who told you, dear Suzi, but the two people were utterly wrong. :)

I read a very convincing article about the name Moleskine where the author said it was a made-up name. So you can pronounce it any way you want to! (he did say the company pronounces it moh-luh-skee-nuh but it's still a made-up word)

Yes real dried flowers from the scrapbook section of the art store. I want to dry my own though. They make stuff so you can dry them quickly in the microwave. I think real flowers add amazing 'real' texture to paintings and look fab under gloss and wax.

Out of all the artists I know, and that's quite a lot, I have never heard it pronounced other than "moleskin". In fact, even my art history teacher pronounced it as such. Just goes to show, some say potatoe some say patatoe.

It's actually pronounced "mol-a-skeen'-a" but you're super pretentious if you don't pronounce it "mole-skin" in my opinion.
