News flash, mate, our kangaroos, cute as they may be, are a PEST... The simple fact is that they are breeding out of control and are now in numbers far too large to be sustainable... Culling them is the only option, and given that, why waste the perfectly good meat? I'd be perfectly happy to eat kangaroo meat regularly if only the commercially pakcaged supplies were more readily avaliable (as it is most of the 'roo meat is being wasted)...

Finally, as for us being "cruel croc hunters", exactly how many crocodiles Steve Irwin (whom I assume this stereotype stems from) killed? The answer, zero. That's right, he may have grappled with crocs, but he didn't kill them. Rather, the reason he grappled with crocs usually had something to do with the animal needing specail medical or another type of care (if it was in a zoo) or tagging the animal with a tracking device (if it was in the wild). Irwin loved animals, he wasn't cruel to them...

But kangaroo is quite nice, you should try it. Why is killing kangaroos different from whales? Kangaroos are in large numbers and are renewable. Whales however are not, you kill whales and they cannot breed as fast as they kill them. Kangaroos breed quickly and here down under there are to many of them for the land to support, so we eat them.

it's kinda ironic that greenpeace can advocate saving the whales while still using a gas guzzling co2 and oil emitting speed boats and ships that will in effect harm those very same whales plus all the other sea life...Human exploitation of fossil fuels is the real killer of whales and all other life, not these whalers themselves who are only a minor cause. I'm betting more whales die from CO2 emissions and polluted waters than from whaling.
