Is there any accurate information on how old Ponies and Dragons get in this show? I mean, Celestria and Luna are over a thousand years old, for all we know. I mean, sure, they are Alicorns, but also, look at granny Smith... From what we know, she could be a few centuries old... And there isn't really any information about how old a dragon can be...

But in most lores, Dragons can get quite old, so I suppose you're right.

@MrJJKB For dragons, the only evidence we have is that a dragon's nap lasts for a hundred years (episode "Dragonshy"). This would imply that they live for a VERY long time if a simple nap takes so long.

Second, we don't know anything about Granny Smith's age. The episode where she states she was one of the founders of Ponyville and the winter wrap up episodes are the only two clues, but people don't think about it clearly.

I was under the impression that since Princess Celestia seems to be the only one from her time and, her being over a thousand years old, she's pretty much the oldest character in the show. Dragons too live a ridiculously long time from the fact that in the episode "Dragonshy", the one dragon was taking a simple nap which lasts a hundred years. Presumably their lifespan is extremely long.

While no ponies ever die on screen, the mere fact that ponies existed for thousands of years (which we know) that are not around now is evidence that they die. Further evidence: Twilight talks about Star Swirl the Bearded in past tense, meaning he's not around today.

Since there's no evidence how old Granny Smith really is, we can only assume she's around the regular senile age, 70-90 years old.
