  • Cute music:) I actually cried, I miss doing things like this with my daddy.

  • That looks so cool :)

It'd be cool if he were flying overhead and saw it. I'm sure he'd appreciate it :)

  • simply amazing

  • *Guy walks in with a bucket of water...-*

  • Wow

  • Hey lotsamillions...have you seen the artwork of Andy Goldsworthy? He makes a lot of his stuff out in nature and with things only found in nature (leaves, ice, sticks...) where the elements eventually have their way with his creations. It's really a good example of impermanence and the willingness of an individual to accept that reality of life and also rejoice in the beauty and the unpredictable nature of this life. The "short" life of your superman is extended by memories...and the video! ;)

  • Real superhero's wear pink capes.

    (:

  • This proves that anyone can use chalk

I still do becuase it's fun and entertaining

  • how long did it stay there afterwards , that is amazing i wish i could that , but im not that good an artist .. yet lol

  • @journeyanimation1 We got an unexpected brief rain shower about 7 hours after I completed it. About 4 of those 7 hours were at night. So, it was really only visible for about 3 hours! That was two years ago and I haven't drawn one since!

  • @lotsamillions its awesome that you drew it though . i was thinking of this video and drew superman earlier lol

  • @lotsamillions Better drawing this at sum exotic place.

  • That is fantastic. I'm taking my chalk and going outside now! Well, maybe after dark, I'm a little old to get caught doing sidewalk chalk.

  • You are great, man!

  • wow do a justin bieber one!

  • @tab9037 you're kidding right?

  • That Will Suck When it Rains. :(

  • 2:19 thats a dumb lookin kid lol

  • Its a great I mean great drawing but the bottom of superman's boot is suposed to be all red

  • you look kinda red :)

  • this is amazing! i loved how u planned this out first....

which i never do! i thought it was very smart of you to make a grid like sidewalk graph. and tht is how you do it man! kent clark would b proud.

  • WHAT NO RED!!! jk nice nice 10/10

  • Pinnacle Studio 11 only allows 500% speed up. How'd you compress 4-6 hours of footage into 4 mins of film?

  • Speed up 500% and create video 1. Put video 1 back into Studio and speed up 500% to create video 2. Repeat and/or adjust the percent speed to achieve the desired results. Good luck!

  • omg, NO way man

    thats AMAZAING

I would be sooooo proud if my dad dit that XD hahahaha

  • uhm whats the point if its gona rain? and is there chalk that wont come off is what id want

  • u take a picture of it

  • its like a sand castle... you do it for your kids and enjoy it while it lasts.

most people dont want a chalk drawing of superman permanently on their property. lol.

  • lmfao well you never know ;)

  • LOLOL WOW what were the people saying to you when they talked to you

  • this is amazing must have taken you a while! i can tell because of the shado. good work five stars!

  • WOW awsome!

  • what if it rains?

  • Then it is gone!

  • @baseballfan2132 Then it washes away, thats just the beauty of it. :)

  • @baseballfan2132 it did rain

  • thats great but id never want to do it cuz it would get ruined

  • No risk, no reward!

  • how long did it really take him to do this. also, did he use regular kids sidewalk chalk?? cause i drew spongebob with regular chalk at school. everyone liked it so they didnt step on it.lol

  • It took about 6 hours total. I spend about an hour and a half the night before doing the outline (work not in the video). The video consists of about four and a half hours. I probably won't do one this large again!

  • Hi. I have pinnacle studio 12 ulimate. What application do i have to download to make time laps? Or is it just somewhere i cam not find? Please get back to me. thanks. Great video by the way.

  • I have Studio 11 so some of the specifics may be a little different. However, this is how you do it in 11... When your video is open for editing, click on "Toolbox" in the top menu bar. Next, select "Add video Effect". In the Category menu, select "Standard RTFX". In the Effect menu, select "Speed". You will have several options for speed control and even reversing the video. I think you are limited to 500x original speed so if you need to scale it more than that, you have to repeat it.

  • OH!, i did not know you could do it...again. that is awesome. thanks

  • ...i didnt see your daughter at all lol O_O not that i wanted to but, cool anyways =)

  • She flashes in and out a few times but not to do any work on the project. We started it the day before. On this day, she had a friend over and was more interested in playing with her than helping me! Understandable! I couldn't stand to let it go unfinished. I got sunburn pretty bad on my legs. If you watch closely, you can see them change color over the course of the video!

  • Very cool and nicely done. I also work with my daughter. We make stop motion videos.

The quality time spent with her is the best part of it all.

    Peace.

  • thats awsome! and its adorable how you and you daughter worked on it together

  • how many hours did you last coloring that?

  • It took about four and a half hours to do the coloring portion. I spend one and a half hours the night before drawing the outline.

  • what is the music called?

  • Music: Nattöppet by Detektivbyrån

  • where can i download that song??!

  • It is available on iTunes!

  • cool. *****
