  • now this tune kicks ass and sally takes no names

  • This one f-ing rips!!!

  • A classic Hagar solo song. Fun to listen to, doesn't have to be deep, and you can tell he had fun making it.

  • Gotta love Sammy Hagar!

  • 10-13 Happy Birthday Sammy! Rock On Mother Fucker!

  • wow.

    WOOOOOOOOOOW !!!!!

  • does it really matter if it's a ford or chevy he's talking about in the song? let's review what has been missed so far by all this brand bias bickering..... Fast classic muscle car driven by a "hot chick" at or near it's potential, telling the boys to "catch me if you can."

Unless you're batting for the other team, if you'll follow my drift here, how can you not find it cool when you see a female mixing it up with what has been the mostly male dominated sport of racing?

  • I recognize that hood it belongs to R.J.Gottliebs Big Red Camaro the fastest 69 Z/28 out there with a 222MPH clocking at the 89 Silver State Classic Challenge with a course average of 197 MPH

  • Even though I am right and you are wrong, this whole "427 Mustang" argument is MOOT. If you listen to the lyrics, he is talking about a convertible. Every person on the planet KNOWS there is no such thing as a production 427 Ford Mustang CONVERTBILE.

  • Oh hell yeah! Good tune!

  • Killer Hook......................

  • I am a long time red head and oh yea this is by far sammy's best !!!!!!!! Rock on sammy.

  • fords 427 cammer, also avalable in mustangs and mercury cougars

  • hohoho! I need to buy some chikenfoot music xD

  • He owned a 427 Shelby sold at auction when he got his BON Speed replica from Mad Anthony

  • Yes sir 427 !!

  • Wow, you never heard of a 427 mustang? Google it dude. Start with the 1967 427 and go from there.

  • I love this song.Wish we had a video to go with it.

  • If you look at the pic in the vid it will tell you what kind of car. You couldn't get a 427 in a Mustang. Its a 427 Vette.

  • I had to clarify , the pic is random , thx for watching

  • @0xffmean255 Random or not, thats the car he is talking about. I'm not saying it is the car in your pic because you could get a 427 in the C2 and C3 Vette.

  • Did he mention a Mustang in the song ? I thought he was singing about a Cobra[Shelby]427.

  • He's says:

"Just like Mustang Sally kicked up a notch"

Which is a reference to the Mack Rice/Wilson Pickett song.

  • Ohh,well its a great song to listen to while on the interstate.I'm pretty sure Sammy's a Ford man tho.Thats why I thought of a Cobra.

  • I bet you're right. Sammy is a Ford man. Especially Mustangs.

  • You could get a 427 in a 67 Mustang not many were made. There were a handfull of Shelbys with them too. Or this could be about a 427 Shelby Cobra.

  • @ITR862 yes you could they had 427 428 and 429s different years

  • @ITR862 YOU sir are a fkn idiot...... do a google for a 427 cobra ford did the 429 and 427 also

  • @DizzyDish If you could read, I said Mustang. Not a Cobra. Even a "fkn idiot" like you should know the difference. Now, to clear this up. Ford NEVER installed a 427 in a PRODUCTION Mustang. EVER! It was available over the parts counter AFTER you bought your Mustang. Shelby did LIST it as an OPTION and SOME were installed by SHELBY. (some estimate 50) Very few are still around. There were other dealerships who installed them AFTER the car arrived at their dealership. FORD DID NOT SELL THEM!

  • @ITR862 Except Chevy bored and stroked one of their engines to make a 427 and Ford made one from scratch. Thus the 427 being in a Ford/AC Cobra.

  • @BrujahPirate There were 2 Chevy 427s though. There was the 427 "Mystery Motor" in the full size Z11 Impalas which was based on the 409 "W" motors. Then there was the Mark IV 427 which is the 427 most Chevy enthusiast identify with. It was a complete new design.

  • @ITR862 the pick is of a Vette, 67 i believe. you could get a 427 in a 1967 Shelby Mustang, not sure how many were made. Sammy wrote this song about the Shelby he had at the time. Sammy's car had a 427 Tunnel Port, which was never offered as a production engine & his car sold for $270K a few years back.

  • @ITR862 The 427 came in SEVERAL big GM vehicles, a few COPO Camaros were also stuffed with the 427, and the 427 was also given to the NASCAR teams in their Chevelles.....

    just an FYI....

  • @ItsMeDaveT And the Yenko Chevelle, Camaro, and Nova (not Deuce). All of the COPO Camaros came with 427s. There was the COPO 9560 Camaro which had the aluminum (block) 427 and the COPO 9561 which was the "standard" iron block 427. You could also get the 427 in the full size Chevy cars like the Impala, Biscayne, Caprice, Bel Air. I might be forgetting something but I think that's about it.

  • @ITR862 Ahh.. excuse me... Some Mustangs came with a 428 Cobra Jet.

  • @MRO566 What's your point? I never said they didn't.

  • I am thinkin this song is geared towards a 1970 Chevelle, LS6. 454 mmmm mmmm 400 plus bhp, off the factory line. Fastest production car ever, yeah

  • I always wanted to hear Sammy do "Mustang Sally". I figured he could tear it up. This is close! LOVE IT! Great guitar!

  • nice song, i wonder what kinda car he's talking about.. im guessing a muscle car.. maybe a camaro or a charger... i dunno. it could be my tractor :P

  • he's talking about the 67 Shelby Mustang he had at the time

  • this song makes me want to get on the highway and run 130+,,,but times changed,i grew up life is soooo short!

  • gotta love sammy hagar hes #1

  • This was Sammy's best solo album

  • I agree :)

  • my dad has a 72 nova with a 427!

  • @Franknpipe Disagree. Marching to Mars has Sammy at his most thoughtful, brooding, and creative.

  • thanks for adding

  • Thanks for watching!

  • no, thank you.

  • OH HELL YEAH!!!

  • WOW!
