ABR's music is more technical.

ABR has better production.

ABR's lyrics are more meaningful.

ABR is faster. Matt can blast at upwards of 210 BPM.

ABR is more breakdown driven, and heavier.

Dustin from ABR's bass doesn't sound like poop and he can scream like a beast.

TIJ relies heavily on Adam, whereas ABR has more intricate guitar lines.

I happen to like ABR better. If you like all that stuff, you probably do too.

I think that texas in july are actually heavier than august burns red. Especially the vocals, texas in julys vocals have more to them: highs, mids, and lows. whereas august burns red consists of highs and the occasional shout of afew words. Plus the guitar work in texas in july is so much more catchy and melodic. In terms of drums theres next to no difference apart from adam (TIJ) does class stick tricks live.. I love both bands, but favour texas in july.

im going to have to say, that they are the same style as abr but do not sound the same, they have diff playing styles like at 1:08 the harmonic run on the guitar is something that abr doesnt do, and their breakdowns are not simmilar by any means so idk they are sort of like abr but do not sound like them
