Zero: Meg Whitman's Rhetoric on Latinos Doesn't Match Reality

I am shocked by this ad. This was paid for by the DGA? Are you kidding? Maybe no Latinos applied for the jobs? Maybe none were qualified? Latinos do have very low levels of educational and economic acheivement. In fact they lag behind African-Americans.

I graduated from SJSU in the 90’s. Right at the time Meg started with Ebay. A total of 9 out 11 engineers come out of this school. I was 1 out of 5 Latinos in my department. Most engineering students were Asian or Mid eaters. THERE WERE NOT ENOUGH LATINOS in technology field. I’m tired of this crap about “We are being disenfranchised” shit. Did Meg ever turn down a qualified Latino applicant?

Not only did Whitman not hire any latinos during that 5 year period, with 300 management positions, but she also, during a 5 year period, increased offshore employment by 660%. She, along with Carly Fiorina, are 'serial outsourcers', having shipped tens of thousands of good paying California jobs to India. Three words come to mind. Shame on them.

We all know what happens when a latino gets into a hiring position. Look at all the fast food places in california. The second a latino gets to hire people, they only hire other latinos. Thats why places like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendys, Jack in the Box and others are mostly run by latinos.

But how many Latino's applied to eBay for managerial positions? Or what percentage of those that applied for those positions were Latino's? This rhetoric is pretty weak. I don't really care for the lady, but this is just smoke and mirrors.

may there wasnt any qualified ones, no offense im latino, but you gotta pick the best and the brightest, thats why ebay was so sucessfull. again not saying that there are not any there are tons but maybe none of those applied.
