I have been a fleetwood mac and stevie nicks fan since 1977 and she still can sing ,she is amazing songwriter and singer ..i know she didnt write everyday, but she is one tremendous singer.
@icinglover95 This video came out in 2001. It's from her '01 album "Trouble in Shangri-La." This is a very good video - well done and artistic. For the first time in 11 years, Stevie's label coughed up enough money to make a real video (not just some cheap, boring "live" concert shot). The video for "Rooms on Fire" in '89 was the last real video done for a solo Nicks song (and was the only video made for her "Other Side of the Mirror" album.
I'll never understand why this song and this album didn't do better than it did. I keep hoping it will somehow be rediscovered. It was either bad marketing by Warner Brothers or just the steady decline of American taste in music, or maybe a lethal combination of both. It makes me sad. Beautiful song and video, nonetheless.
Every ones voice changes with age..a perfect example would be Lucille Ball..if u remember the early "I Love Lucy" shows, her voice is quite different in the later shows..much deeper..I would imagine a singer trying to sound the same at the age of 60 as they did at the age of 20 would be a strain on their vocal chords..
There have been comments about Stevie's voice. I've always wondered what was going on with Stevie's voice myself. If you compare this with her earlier work there seems to be a big range difference. Maybe it's mannered or maybe her voice changed due to age, smoking,or drugs.... but it works for me...I think the voice reflects where she was in her life at that point.
@ora331j Excuse me?! She made Fleetwood Mac!!!! Hate to say this, I love Christine, I love Lindsey but if it wasn't for Stevie Fleetwood Mac wouldn't be as famous as it is today.
awesome video. love stevie. but...can't imbed..come on warner bro's...get with the program. free promo. (the reason record labels are goin' down the drain..ignorance)
I've been trying to find this song for so long. I couldn't remember the title or anything. I just remember the beat of the song. But so glad I finally found it. Stevie truly has a unique voice; and its kind of addicting in a sense.
Even if Stevie isn't quite sure what to make of this video, I think it's my own personal favourite. Not my favourite song but my favourite video. I think it's a really beautiful video and Stevie as always looks stunning.
She look so amazing in this video. But really she always looks amazing. But when she is walking through the trees in the pink dress... she is drop dead gorgeous. I mean she just looks amazing and so young
At first I was a bit disappointed in this song....just a tiny bit monotone but after a couple more listens... it's really pretty. The strings in the background...awesome. Yeah, she looks fabulous. The hair extensions in this video and in Sorcerer...perfecto. And yeah, seeing her pulled up in cascade...different huh? love the dresses in this video....again... perfecto!!!! SN is very well managed and I can't wait until the new album comes out Plus a documentary to boot.. woohooo!!!
Her hair looks so sweet in curls at 2:39. I've been listening to her since 1977. In her interviews, she sounds like such a deep person with a big heart.
This is a nice video - the first by Stevie (solo) since Timespace. I really thought Stevie should have capitalized more off the HUGE success of Fleetwood Mac's The Dance (which Stevie played a big role in revitalizing the group). She should have released a new solo album in '98 o '99. Instead, she issued a box set, which was nice, but kept us waiting for new original songs until '01.
Stevie, Your still a beautiful woman with a gifted voice. I pray you know Jesus. Your voice is heard in heaven. Please keep singing/\, James in NJ USA
@Deadq Yea i know right? This came out on my Senior Yr of High School, 2001, and i use to get up and turn on VH1 Jump Start. Every morning this vid would come on. And i had to be out the door by 7:00 am, so that would give me alot of time to catch this vid! It made my day go so smooth when i watched this vid before school...Stevie Nicks #1 fan!

@529wes The voice changes with age. Hitting those high notes is easy when you're young, but that changes with age.
